Re: high quality oolong
I think that as in every store that has a non-curated, wide range of teas, there will be some good ones, and some that are not. My experience with their teas has reflected that. My favourite though is their Taiwan Style Organic Green Tea, and not an oolong.alix wrote:Taiwan tea craft?
+or-?
I have had a mediocre experience though with their service. There have been numerous problems on their end. As a result, I am loathe to order from them again.
Best wishes,

I've never tried their Gui Fei, but Gui Fei in general is an excellent tea. Should be one of their better ones. Definitely worth giving it a try.alix wrote:I want try http://www.taiwanteacrafts.com/product/ ... olong-tea/ william said "very good" (sorry 4 my bad engish)

As for the black tea, it's barely age and it's very expensive, probably not worth the money.
This one was really good from them: http://www.taiwanteacrafts.com/product/ ... olong-tea/. They also have a lightly roasted version: http://www.taiwanteacrafts.com/product/ ... olong-tea/
Also consider these, although I haven't tried them:

This is a really useful piece of teaware, I picked a bunch of these up from a different vendor a while back: https://www.taiwanteacrafts.com/product ... ling-pins/
Also pick up some tins, they have some nicely priced tins: https://www.taiwanteacrafts.com/product ... tea-caddie

Re: high quality oolong
Slightly off-topic, since it's a black tea, but I LOVE their wild yuchi tea--http://www.taiwanteacrafts.com/product/ ... black-tea/ . Never had anything quite like it. Their 'Spirit' Lishan oolong and Longfengxia oolong teas are also very good for it's price point, I think--I've had better, but only for a lot more $$. And I'm early awaiting the arrival of the charcoal roasted oolong and hong shui that Teas mentioned--I can't wait to try them!
As far as service--their shipping isn't magically fast, but I've never had any problems with my orders, and they have always been good with tracking numbers and letting me know when things are shipped. So no real problems yet.

Re: high quality oolong
Tea Urchin's oolongs - particularly the Taiwanese offerings - are shockingly good for a puer vendor.
Re: high quality oolong
Have any of you tried any of the Oolong from Mountain Tea Co.? I haven't, but I've heard good things from a couple people on the forums.
Re: high quality oolong
We sell a few of there teas at the tea shop I help run, they are definitely enjoyable. They're not high end by any means, but very good daily drinkers and very affordable
Re: high quality oolong
I dont know if anyone has mentioned this, but I didnt see it. I often salivate while looking at http://www.teahong.com. The teas look very high quality but sadly I cant confirm due to my limited tea funds. Im sure some of these guys can speak where I can not.
Re: high quality oolong
Their dancongs are crazy good IMO. The yancha's are very good and interesting as well, but the dancongs are mainly what I go to them for. the huangzhi xiang is amazingPoseidon wrote:I dont know if anyone has mentioned this, but I didnt see it. Re: high quality oolong
I think Teahong is an excellent vendor. They have many teas that really shine. In general, they are one of the best online sources for oolongs. Their light roasted Dong Ding was a big surprise to me and their Dancong and Yancha are a cut above, as BW85 said.
Re: high quality oolong
TTC were great to deal with, and I like the teaware I bought from them, but their aged oolongs fell a little flat on my palate. (And yes, I waited for them to acclimate...)
Re: high quality oolong
I have tried different resources, but a few months ago I found these one - http://www.tea-and-coffee.com/
There are really wide selection of high quality teas and reasonable prices. I'm truly satisfied
