Like a phoenix ...

Rising from the ashes... This sounds a bit like noborigama / dragon kiln work... After all, those kilns literally "rise," since they're built into hills... :idea:

How about the Shibuya clan? I'm still wondering whether the something old, something new comment is about the pottery itself, or the person (or people), or whether it's a clue at all. :lol:
