This Kyusu is "honshudei"


This is an older item that Gisui held onto all these years. This item like all the other kyusu in this offering was obtained directly from Gisui by artisticnippon.com, unlike the two older items on AN's site which were obtained by AN through a third party.

*"The teapot #9 was engraved by Ms. Matsuda Shidu who was a calligraphy teacher.
Apart from her work as a calligraphy teacher, she also engraved large brazier, teapots etc.
Her excellent calligraphy technique is reflected in the engraving.
The teapot was made pre-1980's (the year is not known.). She is already deceased.
This is a great legacy from the past.”
