This is about the length of time before Yiwus come out of hibernation.
I finished off the last two grams I had of the 2014 Last Thoughts, and it wasn't particularly impressive. Which made me think I might have been a little unfair to the Chenyuanhao 2014 Chahuang. And in turn, the '13 XZH Yiwu Chawang might have been really freaking tasty in its extreme youth. Two years is a bad time to examine Yiwu, I'm finding. And tasting that 2007 XZH Yiwu at three years was probably a big factor in why I didn't get more of it when I should have. Oddly enough, the 2006 Yiwu was mostly really good, if erratic at four years.
That Douji (not that I like Douji, for the money, anyways) should continue to get better tasting, particularly after about another two more years, Apache.
Re: Awkward Phase in Sheng Pu
I have some Dayi that seem awkward not. The stuff from 2010 and 2011 seem to be just bitter and strong. I think another decade and we will see.
I echo about Yiwu as it seems to go flat after a couple of years. I keep it temp and humidity controlled so I don't think that is the issue on them.
Apache, good to see you !

Re: Awkward Phase in Sheng Pu
Well my 8582 801 seems more drinkable now, o.k. not much to write home about but still mind you, it's a very decent drink!
I will post some pictures when I get round to it.
