I know that literati used to drink directly from the spout but I think they used small teapots for that :D I guess one gets thirstier making pottery than writing poems :lol:

Literati prefered small teapots that's true..it was Shi Da-bin who reversed to make smaller teapot after communicating with many liberati, from bigger teapot.

As you see, many antique teapots their spouts are so small (except Gongfu teapot), those pots can make error with a pitcher..but that wasn't an error because they used to drink directly from the spouts! :shock:
