I suspect that if the knowledgeable people here have no idea who this person is, then likely the teapot is of little consequence or value. I only pursued the information because different people who viewed the teapot offered some tantalizing clues re the inscription, name, and style which were worth a little looking into before dropping the whole thing.

Not necessarily, it could still be a good quality Yixing teapot made of decent clay and constructed well, and would be a great functioning teapot. I'm not sure if you drink a lot of Chinese teas yourself, but it could still make a good teapot, regardless of the person who made it is famous or whatever.

Judging by your username, it looks as though you are more interested in selling it though. If it is made of good clay, and depending on when it was made, you could still get some money for it.

Not necessarily, it could still be a good quality <a class="vglnk" title="Link added by VigLink" target="_blank" href="http://www.adagio.com/teaware/asian.html" rel="nofollow"><span>Yixing</span></a> teapot made of decent clay and constructed well, and would be a great functioning teapot. Partly right, Frisbeehead. I don't drink tea (or coffee or soda), so my inclination if the teapot isn't very valuable is to sell it to someone who does and would better appreciate it. If it is valuable then I'd add it to my other Asian pieces, it's pretty enough. I'll see if I can figure out Imgur again enough to post photos.
