Re: The matter of "tuition fee" teapots
Are you calling some of these "tuition fee teapots" because they were misrepresented, overpriced or because you consider them fake? Thanks.

Some were sold to me as zhuni which I later learned that they were not, some were meant to be made by artists and hence very expensive etc
Re: The matter of "tuition fee" teapots
Thanks for clarifying. I asked because some of them seem like decent functional teapots. But I'm far from expert on this.williammimi70 wrote: A bit eveeything really

I am a complete novice at Yixing but rather too enthusiastic about collecting hence mistakes have been made too frequentlystevorama wrote:Thanks for clarifying. Maybe someday I'll learn

Re: The matter of "tuition fee" teapots
Most of these are far better than my worst tuition teapot, a shoe polish pot from an online vendor. I should have known better!williammimi70 wrote: I am a complete novice at Yixing but rather too enthusiastic about collecting hence mistakes have been made too frequently![]()

I managed a return to a very unhappy vendor who insisted the pot was good.

Re: The matter of "tuition fee" teapots
Bought this at an antique auction
Subsequently I saw a few being for sale on ebay but they all seem to be different to this one
I have no clue what type of clay it is
Multiholes
Roughly 300mls
