Re: where to buy...
Checked some e-Stores: New yixing teapots are sold for about 5(€/£/$) whole sale (min. 10pcs.) at Alibaba.com (later sold by retailers for +50/pc. -> AliExpress). The pictures help to evaluate good craftwork (deburring, symmetry, color, clay, ...). Shipment from China normally takes about 5-15 days. One teapot for one tea - so the whole sale is an option

Re: where to buy...
Hi, I’m new here. I juz start started to drink Chinese tea again, Currently I’m drinking the roasted type of Tie Guan Yin. Would like to get a YiXing teapot for it, does anyone knows where to get real Yixing teapot in Singapore?
Re: where to buy...
Well, what is your budget? Singapore has a lot of quality Yixing, but it depends on what you are looking for and at what price.Cereal wrote: Hi, I’m new here. Re: where to buy...
Hi fbee thanks for the reply, my budget is around 300. I’m juz worried that I might accidentally buy some chemical teapots as I’m still new to this.
Would you reckon that yu hwa emporium is ok? Or if there’s any suggestion.

That is a good budget, but you are right, be careful before you spent that much.Cereal wrote: Hi fbee thanks for the reply, my budget is around 300. I’m juz worried that I might accidentally buy some chemical teapots as I’m still new to this.
My advice, get a cheap porcelain pot or gaiwan to get started and then keep learning and looking about yixing, before you commit to buy.
This is really difficult to learn online, it is more hands-on. Best would be if you can reach out to someone locally who knows about these things to teach you.
Or check out this page: http://2088taiwan.com//index.php?route=common/home
They have certified original vintage Yixing teapots. For 300 you can get a nice one there.
Afterwards it depends what kind of tea you like to drink. Clays are different. Get a Hongni if you are not sure, more neutral.
Re: where to buy...
There is very little reason for you to buy teapots online since your in SIngapore. Try contacting Wilson, he also lives in Singapore so prob knows of a few trustworthy yixing shops you could visit.Cereal wrote: Hi, I’m new here.
