Mmm, I love a toasted green. Have you tried Genmai Cha? I've been trying to get everyone who comes over my house as hooked as I am!WolfSpirit292 wrote: Green teas are one of my favorites, so I was looking forward to today's offering. The aroma on this one was amazing as it brewed! The toasty scent was perfect while watching the snow fall.Unfortunately, there's no toast in the flavor, which was disappointing. The flavor itself isn't bad. It's rather light, but nice. Grassy and earthy. But I really wanted that toast.

I was pleasantly surprised I like this! I didn’t add anything to it and thoroughly enjoyed it. This is much earthier than I anticipated but it is a nice mellow cup of tea.

This is an AMAZING green tea! Reminds me a bit of a Korean green I like to drink at a local tea shop (they just call it Nok Cha, so no telling what it actually is). It's not bitter at all and has a wonderful toasty flavor, almost like Genmai Cha without the popcorn.

I agree, it has a toasty flavor reminiscent of Genmai Cha, but with a more natural subtle flavor. I steeped mine at 175˚ for 3 minutes. No bitterness here. A solid green tea all around.Gwanatu wrote: This is an AMAZING green tea! Not a fan. It's a wonderful thing that there are so many teas to satisfy different tastes. This one just is too earthy for me.

I usually take mine with either sugar/honey, and bit of milk if I feel like it. It wasn't bad, I know how popular greens are. Just not for me.Bridgette wrote:It is so different from the other flavored teas we've had! It does have the toasted aroma and rounded finish one expects from it, but not for me.Bridgette wrote: Hello communiTEA drinkers,

How much are you indulging?
How are you taking your tea? I added just the smallest amount of stevia to make it perfect for my tasting.
Re: Welcome to the communiTEA, Day 5! (January 16th)
I thought this was another really nice example of the way this type of tea is supposed to taste. Definitely grassy green with something almost marine... but more buttery than salty to me. I didn't pick up much in the way of toasty/nutty but like others have said I would just go to the Genmai Cha (which I love) for that kind of flavor. I only let it steep for 2 mins @180 the first time though; I'm sure people are getting ALL kinds of variables with this one depending on their process.
Re: Welcome to the communiTEA, Day 5! (January 16th)
This is the first one that I haven't liked at all. I had an inkling that it wasn't going to be my thing just from the ingredients, as I generally don't like unflavored green teas. I drank a couple sips, added more sweetener, drank a couple more sips, and sadly then poured it out.
