However, the kind of experiment he proposes makes great blogging fodder, so I'm down. And if the thread does turn the way of making final picks of teas and such, I'll even make it a point to avert my attention.

But this weekend I may see if I can sit *him* down to a blind tasting, with me doing the prep/serve.

Don't be surprised if he tells you that he can't tell the difference -- or he picks the crap tea. Many people would prefer to propagate their ill conceived notions than to admit that they were wrong.

People often make up their minds and then use whatever you tell them to support their beliefs. I'm serious. I've been very clear on what I say as a writer, and I'm constantly misquoted and taken out of context. Even by folks who should know better (journalists).

It's annoying. But there you go.
