What do I do?

 Greens and soured oolongs: wake them up with a 5-minute roast
 Black, non-soured oolongs, and pu'er tea: put it away and hope it ages well
 White: make iced tea out of it

Drinking Liu An today.

Ugh, count me in the ante up and drink it crowd.

I have this "issue" with wasting things. Oddly enough the more I dislike something (be it tea, shampoo, cheese, etc.) the more quickly I am to use it so that it will simply go away.

Yeah, I'm a not with the crazy - but at least I can easily blame the Tourette's.

Fuka and the rest of the late night math do'ers - e-mail/pm me if ya need some help in a previous (non-mommy) life I had an advanced degree in mathematics and taught it on the college level. Unfortunately I only caught the end of the conversation (which is actually kind of funny because I was helping my sister with math before I came on).

I have been just throwing stuff out and bragging about it. :D

However, I just got a new rice cooker with a 'keep warm' setting, so I plan on at least trying to wake them up first now.

The problem with me is my tastes are very particular right now, and my patience is small. I'm like a addict I suppose looking for his next high mountain oolong fix. Picture me rummaging through my tea selection like a heroin addict through a drug store, just throwing anything that doesn't fit on the floor or against the wall in anger, hands shaking, mouth frothing.

I got my best TeaFriend out of Cold Storage...aka, my TeaFridge. Yutaka Midori from Kagoshima will be on my menu shortly.

Started the day with my other good sencha friend, Takumi from Yame. I am convinced this was better as Shincha, but it is still very good.

I invent ways to deal with old tea or tea I will not drink. If I cannot find a taker for it which is generally the case, it is moved over to my ICED TEA RESERVE. Unfortunately, I do not drink iced tea hardly at all anymore...this I created my TeaBath reserve, which is pretty substantial these days. I figure people pay to go to a spa for a tea essence treatment, the real thing has gotta be nice. It is actually pretty incredible. And my water truly smells like tea. So, I have black, oolong and green TeaBath reserves depending on my mood.

I simply cannot throw tea away. I will have a bag in my hands, ready to throw it away, try to shake it out on my hands, but it won't come out. I will look at it again and try to rationalize some redeaming value of the tea...

Here's an interesting article and discussion on the topic of throwing out 'bad' tea... "No bad teas, only bad ways to prepare them."

I force myself to throw away any really bad tea, though anything that might age well gets kept. I still have this loose Earl Grey that is at least 4 years old for when I get a craving for it.

Today's teas started with a sencha, followed by me finding a one of those loose tea bags filled with casablanca twist that I stuck in my backpack a few days ago. Right now is the first steep of the Sencha Fuka-midori from Den's sample kit. It is incredibly awesome.

I'm guilty of throwing away tea that I don't like. That was the fate of the Genmaicha and cherry flavored teas from Upton. I see Upton as more of a black tea type of company, were as i see Adagio as a flavored company, which hopefully explains why they weren't fantastic.
This morning I had really weak rum tea before I went off to school. Yuck. I'm waiting for my Black Tea Starter Set from Adagio to get here before I steep anything else.

I am enjoying reading how everyone deals with tea we will not drink.

The poll results so far are equally interesting. Hmmm, I thought I was the only one with a TeaBath reserve for leaves that will never be drunk.

And the leading answer, the closet tossers. That would be me, if I could ever throw any away.

You have a great opportunity to finish all of the teas you don't like insead of throwing them away
We should add one more option to the poll - "Keep it till I get sick and can't taste anything"

As for me, I don't keep the teas I can't make myself to drink, I take them to my work and leave on a special table where people put all the suff they don't need that might be useful for someone else. All my undrinkable teas usually miraculously disappear by the lunch time :)

My first cup of tea was Genmaicha followed by Green Chai from SpecialTeas (I drink it to warm myself up) and then I had three cups of Pi Lo Chun Select so far, flavoured greens will take place after dinner.

I think I'm ready to go hunt Fedex down for my tea. It is currently 5:38 PM and no tea. I think I'm about ready to lose my marbles over it. Everytime I hear a car go by, i jump up and look outside the window. I broke down and had some Butterfinger flavored hot chocolate earlier. I guess I'm on a tea strike until it comes, not like it's really going to help iy get delivered.
After writing this it is now 5:41 PM.

Nope. I keep on checking the tracking seeing if it got delivered to the wrong house, but it hasn't been delivered yet. I think I might call Fedex at 6 and ask them what's going on.

Last winter, I had a tea shipment sitting on a FE delivery truck everyday for almost a week. I was ready to kill, thinking of my tealeaves receiving such abuse. Not too mention just having to wait that long.
blah blah blah SENCHA blah blah blah!!!
