He's not mine (yet?) but I've named him "Farrel" (since he's a feral cat).
He's a stray. I've fed his mother a time or two since I saw him first in early winter. Today, i was on my patio smoking a pipe and readin while the clouds for tonight's storms (more reason to feel guilty for not finding him now) rolled in. When i put the book down, I saw him a bit far off, so i came inside to get some sandwich meat for him. I know it's not good for cats, but that's what I have.
When I came outside, he was on my patio! I fed him two cold cuts, and he let me pet him. The next thing I knew, he was climbing into my lap to sleep for a bit! After he woke up, he came inside my place for a few minutes, then ran out again.
If I can get him to stay, I'll be happy.

make sure you have him scanned for the subdural id - I have a cat that gets his collar off and runs around the neighborhood acting like he is a stray. He is skinny as hell no matter that we feed him the best cat food available. I'm sure he has 10 or so of our neighbors all trying to feed him fresh tuna to get him to stay. He always comes home, but even when we lock the doors and windows he figures out how to get out. (I've seen him open a window that was shut) He just likes wandering, his sister lives with us and won't leave the yard, go figure.

That is the same thing I was suggesting.. A furry friend is always nice.. epecially one that needs a home!CynTEAa wrote:Aw! Yay - kitty rescue! Hehe - I like "Farrel." Nice - you have a friend!

Don't always believe what you think!

Holy mother of all that is sacred...I jumped when I saw that one.
2.0 was the target marketed age when Pokemon was first popular...and he fell for it hook, line, and sinker. He and all his friends were obsessed with it, and drove all their parents insane with talk about Pikachus. It was terrible...and I got to witness my mother's coffee club collectively collapse into tears when the boys announced a movie was being made.
About a month before the movie came out, I got my driver's license stamped to 'drive with people.' It is a testament as to how awful that film was that I--five months into my driving career--found myself captaining a minivan FULL of hyperactive 6-8 year olds for a movie excursion.
On the bright side, the parents all paid me $50 each.
