At work now with some nice Xi Ping Tie Guan Yin in my cup.
Here's to the workday going by quckly!

Looking into my cup, I see sencha Tokusen...TGIGreen TeaDay for me.
I love greens in case you did not already know that. I drink them almost all the time. I love the freshness of the aroma and the flavor. Sometimes I like their intensity...other times I like their subtlety. Some, I like their green leaf, others I like their artistic leaf.
I do not know if this is a phase I am going through, or a lifetime thing.

tea day
I drink green tea (generally Japanese) now and then, but lately I've found some that I really like and I think I may be drinking more green in the future.
This afternoon I'm drinking some Sencha Kenjyo from Tao of Tea. It's really good--very rich and buttery. Of course, for $18/oz. it ought to be good. Not likely to splurge like that again. Adagio's excellent Sencha Premier is a bargain by comparison, and just a great tea all around.

It's always so easy to agree with Proinsias. It must be all the haggis that makes him such agreeable company.
Enormously enjoying the 25 gr bag of my first Xu Fu Long Ya of the new season, and looking forward to tapping into the Emperor Long Jing and Meng Ding Gan Lu. And this is just prologue to shincha!!
As much as I love the greener oolongs, spring is for lovers ... of green tea. I can drink oolong any time, in fact autumnal and winter oolongs are often great, but the greens are for spring. Drink 'em while they're fresh!

I usually don't get too involved with green tea until summertime. I think this may be part of living in Scotland and the weather here affecting my tea choice more than the weather eastwards.
I suspect a spring day in Zhejiang province might be closer to a summer day in my neck of the woods.
From a Chinese medicine pov: would hot and sunny also be the best conditions for battering my internal organs with young sheng?
I'm not trying to be disagreeable deliberately, honestly.

I finished another package of Uji Gyokuro Kame-Giru-Shi, my favorite green tea so far. Which means that I will very soon open a new gyokuro package, Ippodo Ippoen I guess.
Now my usual rooibos to end the day.

Mmm that sounds quite delicious. Right now i'm working on an ito-en sencha shot (yes i know, tea from a can...) but I can't get up from my desk right now to make something different. <sigh>olivierco wrote:I finished another package of Uji Gyokuro Kame-Giru-Shi, my favorite green tea so far.
