Funny I think TeaChat may be raising a new generation of comedians.

In my country, they speak of a man so virile, so potent, that to spend a night with such a man is to enter a world of sensual delights most women dare not dream of. This man is known as "the comedian."

I'm mixed on my tea time. I like to drink alone to relax, but I like sharing with DH, too. Of course, lots of time we are both having tea but in different rooms so it's kind of a two-for-the-price-of-one thing.

Coconut tea this morning. Gonna have a jasmine green this afternoon. Don't know what it is with me and flavored tea this week...

Thanks Sal, I missed Trioxin's comment initially. I think "chicks" dig guys who smell good - period. A tea scent would be a plus. A niche tea scent - even better. Guys want girls to smell good, but they don't want to reciprocate? What's up with that?

Thanks Trioxin, you smell great! For me today a tea note based scent too, although not niche. It's JLo's Still which has notes of tea and sake.

At work now and testing Just4Tea TGY - Too roasted for me. Not my thing. Smoky, charcoal with a bite. The leaves smelled like coffee to me. I had to toss the first steep. This one is at least drinkable.

Yunnan golden tips this afternoon in my new porcelain teapot. Nothing fancy: just the ippodo large teapot (360ml). I wanted something easy to clean, with non metallic filter for my black teas.



Now hatsumi sencha.

I have indeed a white porcelain kyuusu (in fact two identical ones, very useful to compare brewing parameters or to take on vacations), but smaller (200 ml).
But I don't think I already posted a picture of it.

Yikes!! I got a sample in the mail yesterday, I don't remember ordering it. I think it was that free sample to bloggers and I got in somehow. ;O)
Give it a good rinse and maybe you will like it. Pretend it's Pu.

I think I'll go with Toki's recommendation to age it for two years. By then I won't remember how much money I spent on it!

In the teapot this morning was pomegranate oolong. May try to do a second steeping--a new experience for me.

My answer is mixed. Tea & teaware is my thing & I really enjoy those quiet moments alone when it's just me chilling out w/a pretty teacup & something tasty in it. It's one of the few things around here that's all mine! But it's also nice to be able to share it w/family & friends. Whether it's a mug of tea in the evening w/hubby, an impromptu tea party w/my 5 yr old daughter or inviting friends over for a tea luncheon, it's a gift I enjoying giving.

I truly enjoy the quiet moment alone and seem to enjoy tea when I can focus intently upon it. Whenever there is "noise" around me, I lose TeaFocus. Noise is an enemy of my tea times it seems.

In my cup, Fukamushi Superior is heightening my senses. Aroma, taste, the warmth of the liquor. The simple beauty of the leaf, the liquor. And I must pretend QUIET...

I like the occassional shared experience but its really not that different than having dinner or getting coffee with someone except for a few memorable tea occassions. And I lack many true tea lovers among my acquaintances. Most of the time when I make a good tea its 'caviar to the general'.

Just Darjeeling and some everyday sencha and I'm having some mao feng now before heading out on the road.

Wu Ling Taiwan Oolong was next...quite good this time. Accidently went much longer and was surprised how good it was.
