It was gorgeous and really well done, for sure, but was it a *review*? It didn't really tell me much about the tea beyond what I already assumed. It did come across more like an ad. No offense *at all* to the creator because it is fab.Salsero wrote:Wow, that's a pretty high standard to start things off!!
I agree. It did seem more like an ad. It was very well done, but if you take away the aesthetics of it, it isn't really much of a review. For instance, if I just typed a review of this tea that said "Smooth & Sweet. Tea & Passion. Bolero. Sweet & Passionate." ... people wouldn't think it was very helpful.ThinkingOutLoud wrote: It was gorgeous and really well done, for sure, but was it a *review*? Or maybe I'm just missing the point of what "video reviews" are supposed to be.
The music is by Angelique Kidjo. Here's the review:
Maurice Ravel's "Bolero" is one of the most infamously overplayed classical pieces ever. Just when one thinks,"OH NO! Not another cover version!" Angelique Kidjo works her Afropop magic. She turns the Bolero into a tribal rave-up. She makes a formerly boring, overplayed composition into something wonderful&enthralling. Instead of boring one to sleep,it's hypnotic. It's Afropop trip-hop. Kidjo breathes new life into an old piece!
Thanks for the attention. I tried .... I have never done anything like that before. @ThinkingOutLoud of course you have a point. But talking to a camera (scary!) in my yoga pants (very nice yoga pants mind you) is really not my forte
Anyway I appreciate that you took the time to watch it.

Oh Jazz! As I said, it was fab!!! Beautiful and very well done. I certainly don't have that kind of talent. Don't get down on yourself because of anything I said. Talking to the camera can certainly be intimidating, but I, for one, would love to hear your tasting notes on this tea. Thanks for putting yourself out there!jazz88 wrote:Thanks for the attention. Hi guys!
I did one of these for Gunpowder today and sent to Ilya. I think it's up on the main site, but here it is on YouTube:

Looking forward to doing a few more with my girlfriend when time permits. Thoughts?
Thanks!

Wesli - No Yoga pants for me. Just jeans.
Anyway, I just did another one for Rooibos. It's on the main site as well as YouTube.

Are these what people are looking for? Should I bother recording more next week? Thinking about trying Green Anji, Kukicha, and Snowbud.
