Yes, same here! Great minds think alike
In fact I am almost out- Instead of having to wait for a Yunnan Sourcing shipment (whose GY was good, but not "out of this world" good anyway), I will prob order from a domestic vendor this time... I seem to remember that SpecialTeas' Competition Grade was pretty tastey...

Irish Breakfast from Twinings bags this morning. I'm in a hotel.
Off to TeaSmiths in a while, and then to explore the city.
I'm not likely to do anything tea-related other than just enjoy it.
Although my neighbors are all barbarians,
And you, you are a thousand miles away,
There are always two cups on my table.

Hop & Chip, thanx for today's topic. It's giving me a chance to give some well deserved props but didn't know how to go about it. As I posted back in mid July, we were on a buying trip for our store & one of the things I was looking for was a tea vendor. I talked w/several companies & got various samples but nothing "clicked". After returning home, decided to check (what should have been) the obvious source & contacted Adagio. I was greeted by none other than our very own CynTEAa who was more than gracious w/both her suggestions based on our needs & product samples. I'm proud to say that our store now carries Adagio teas & teaware!!!

Thanx, Cyn, for all your help! So to answer today's question, it's very likely my tea passion would get involved in the industry. It's already happened!
W/bfast this morning was Adagio's Golden Monkey. This is becoming a fast favorite, especially to start the day. Have a good one!
Aw, thanks, Henley! **HUGS** Happy to help!

Well, the thought has crossed my mind. In a few years I'm going to pack in my current career and do something else. I'm just not sure what.
One of the possibilities is opening an artisan gallery, and if I do, teaware would be one of the products.
Brewing joy, happiness and green tea, like any good TeaWitch should!

No desire to do anything but drink tea here.
I found mouse pellets on my desk this morning.

I'm so icked out. And how on earth did the mouse get on top of my desk anyway? Ugh. Just ugh.

Morning all. Ugh, it's early for me (8am) and hubby is sick with his obligatory summer cold. Since I'm leaving for a little 3-day getaway on Thurs morning, I'm worried about catching it. Solution? Drink more tea!
This is one of those Qingbai cups from Stephane. It looks white until you set it on something that really is white. The slight tint subtly enhances the tea color.

I've thought about it, afaik there isn't any tea stores near me at all.. though, I think about a lot of things, there is very little chance I would actually ever make it happen.
In my cup is teamasters Baozhong which is quickly becoming my staple.

Congratulations, Henley. That's really exciting.
I've thought about the idea of a tea house, but too many years of watching my grandparents run their diner and then (seriously) their bowling alley and my aunt and uncle run their restaurant keep me from ever really doing it. Once you open that kind of business, your life is not your own anymore. I'd rather go to a tea house to drink tea than run one.
I do think about getting involved in the industry in other ways though, more on the academic side. No need to bore you with details on that, but that's where my head is right now. At the moment, I'm a SAHM and that's not likely to change any time soon.

Yes, I have definitely considered the tea industry on pretty many different levels.
Yunnan Gold a la Adagio this AM. And to sound like a broken record, O-Cha Yutaka Midori sings to me now. Brewed a little too cool. YM seems to like a warmer first steep compared to some other shincha.
blah blah blah SENCHA blah blah blah!!!

Amazing! I'm going to take more pictures
My wife and I have discussed this idea but never really taken any serious steps towards making it a reality. Setting one up in the area I live now might be a good idea as it has as it is fairly middle-class as well as having a large student population. Also, 80 percent of the foreign students that come to the University of Leicester are from China, so that definitely would be a market worth tapping into.
Started the day with Fukamushi Shincha SupremeNo tea yet as such, also had a Matcha chiller from the coffee house EAT (similar to a Starbucks Matcha Frap) was really nice! Will probably have some Gyokuro later.
