I tend to over buy and give away.

Seriously cutting back now.
At least one who is not in denial! But I don't see the cutting back part!

Augie, your MiL just registered and wants to post a rebuttal, shall I admit her?

Despite owning the TeaFridge, I do not think I overbought this year. But trust me, I have for the previous/first 8 years, maybe I am finally wising up? But I did not underbuy...that is certain.

This morning's "wake up call," Adagio Keemun Concerto.
Now my favorite sencha of all time, Yutaka Midori from O-Cha. So rich tasting, it is reminiscent of gyokuro.

Here at work my co-worker talked me into a black loose leaf sample of some fruit infused thing - it was ummmm. Yeah, just ummmm.

After the wuyi and that back to back, I'm thinking I seriously need something
really good ... really soon.

:)

There's lots of tea here for sure, but much of it not purchased. Even if it was...it was in the line of duty!

Some more just arrived...actually... 8)

Well, I try to be a bit more discrimnative now that I am running out of room in my pu-erh closet. So, now I am relegated to only buying pu-erh which are either 6 years or older or are made as collectibles in limited quants

having only recently gotten into tea, I suppose it is difficult to truly overpurchase (as I am trying things out right now). My wife, on the other hand, simply can't understand why I need 6 different types of oolong...4 of them being different TGYs.

So I voted moderately yes.

right now I'm drinking...a TGY oolong, of course

I'm joining you! Some nice TGY - Iron Goddess King from NCTG. Originally from the Oolong Box Pass, I have since purchased this beauty.

Hummm only 4 TGYs? Ohhhh the depravity.

Sounds like a good choice! Thanx for the sample of this really great TKY. Think I will join you guys.

Edit...went with this TKY...just went through 3 steeps. I will return to this session for my evening enjoyment. The first 3 steeps evolved very nicely I must say! :D

Overpurchase? What's that? We still have enough money to eat and pay the mortgage so I don't think I've overpurchased. :D

An Osmanthus Oolong for me. The tea seems to be good quality, but I don't think osmanthus is my thing. I mean, I've tried osmanthus oolong chocolate before and wasn't crazy about it so that is a BIG indicator.

Considering that my tea drawer has expanded to the kitchen counter & dining room table, would have to say yes that I've overbought. But the dining room table is mostly the oolong box pass teas so that doesn't count... does it? No denial here.  Most of my over buying comes from finding what I like & don't like so there's lots of samples here & I only buy large quantities of what I truly like & regularly drink.

Had wuyi ensemble w/bfast this morning. May have become tea logged for the day at lunch though. Elchai & I met for lunch at an Atlanta area tearoom. After chatting w/her for some time, it was nice meeting in person. :D She was joined by her dtr & step-mom & my dtr was w/me. The 5 of us drank 7 different pots of tea! We each had our own favorites.

The variety included:
Gyokuro
Sencha Kyoto Cherry Rose Festival
Peach Apricot White
Monkey Picked Oolong
Sergant Peppers Orange (rooibos)
African Skies (rooibos)
House Summer Blend (Coconut Rooibos, Sencha & Spearmint)

Although the Summer Blend combo sounds odd, it was actually quite tasty (yes, this is coming from the girl that doesn't like green). We had a great time & I found a new tearoom that I hope to visit again when I'm in the area. Once my tea stash depleats some, I plan on buying the Sencha Kyoto Cherry Rose Festival. I liked the flavor of it better than Den's Sakura Sencha.

Hope everyone's had a great day!

I continued with a few more steeps of that Mingjian Osmanthus Oolong and I have to say that it grew on me. I was really unsure of the first infusion but enjoyed the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th more. (And this is why I love oolongs...)

I can't imagine how one could over purchase.

If anyone finds themselves with too much tea, drop me a pm!

:P
Lately your lack of self esteem is just good common sense.
