To me, any day that includes tea is a great one!

This morning I'm starting the day with hot Irish Breakfast. I'm also bringing some of Soapy's "Best Summer Tea Blend" to work iced. If only I could restrain myself and make it last all day long!

Happy Friday, everyone!

Happy Friday! I've been kind of in a tea-lull over the summer, but we're getting some news teas in and I had a fabulous ali shan oolong yesterday. So yes, 50/50.

Going to have some jade formosa now. come to me oolongs... :)

I was just reading through today's posts and saw Laran's post about putting tea leaves in her water bottle at work. I'm going to try that today! I wish I had thought of that some time ago!

Thanks :D

Yes pretty much so. Drinking organic green tea with orange blossoms from Rishi.

It's funny that this package from Rishi was sitting on my shelf for quite a while and I almost never used it because I really disliked the packaging, e.g., it was not comfortable to use. And then I placed the tea in an empty tin from Adagio and I'm almost done with the tea! It seems a bit silly but what a difference a packaging can make!

I'm working from home today, so my tea day is better than when I'm at work, as I can boil my own water and use my loose tea. It really depends where I am. I had been bringing loose tea to work, and I think I should start doing that again. The bags are just kind of blah (more so than usual) these days.

Today I'm drinking my Soom first flush Darjeeling - TGFOP! One of the most expensive teas I've bought. It has a lovely floral scent, now that I've got the steeping time right. Even my husband commented, saying that it smells like flowers. :)

Yikes, you need tea now more than ever to fight off that toxic waste!

As I said in the intro, I cannot remember the last day that was not a GREAT TeaDay. :D I just have not had a bad cup in what seems like weeks. I guess I have the right mix of teas available right now.

I started the day with Adagio Keemun Concerto. I am currently lovin' shincha Yutaka Midori from O-Cha ... 4th steep.

Pretty much every day is good tea-wise. I'm a fulltime grad student, and my college is somewhat unique in that there are no classes (think, long-term independent study with advising, sort of thing), so I'm home all day. Tea whenever I want! It's the only way to get through 6-8+ solid hours of being bent over a book. Every day. We don't have days off, except between semesters.

Just a black at breakfast and some gunpowder green this morning, so far. Is it weird that I actually like the smokey-ish cheapcheapcheap gunpowder?

I'm now enjoying my best tea ever from Lupicia, it's a High Mountain Spring 2008 oolong from Mt. Alee - it is quite delicious!

Best tea ever, or best tea ever from Lupicia?

Wenshan Baozhong, Subtropical Forest a little earlier. I am somehow likeing this more than the Two Year offering also from Teamasters, but I seem to be the only one. The aroma in the smelling cup is so complex and wonderful.

Now, some Farmer shincha with some gyokuro and karigane selections that I struggle to enjoy on their own. All 3 together are wonderful.

I think I am about 50:50 great tea days and not so great ones. Most of the reason for that is moving back to college always makes the weather turn sweltering for a few weeks and with very little circulation in a college dorm, the temperature is too high for me to be able to fully enjoy hot tea. When I am not restricted by high temperatures, my tea days are always great since any day that begins with a cup of hot tea is great by my standards. Until the weather starts cooperating, I am stuck with cold tea. Even though cold tea is still tasty, it just doesn't hit the spot like a hot tea does.

Since it is probably going to be about 90 here in northern New York State, I have been drinking all sorts of cold tea. I finished off the pitcher of iced ginger peach and now have moved on to some iced black current.
