Palin was always my secret Python crush. Ringo was my secret Beatle crush. Find me a funny man and I shall die a well-satisfied woman. :)

Anyhoo...Chip and I have been joking all day about how this thread would be an absolute nightmare of flame wars on any other forum. Seriously, throw some religion into the mix and we'd have the trifecta of evil (whoops! I guess I just invoked it! run!)

Anyway, it really cheers me to see that we are all adults about such a wildly inappropriate topic. Rock on, ITD.

I've been wondering for a while how everyone on the forum is planning to vote. I am curious if there's a trend among western tea drinkers. Are we liberal? Conservative? Or just a hodge podge. Of course there's no safe way to broach this subject, so I've chosen to quietly let my curiosity go unsatiated.

Chip, are we planning to cancel Tea Day on Election Day, just to be safe? :wink:

I had rather thought it indicated the opposite, but I won't quibble.

Hey, this is tea-related. I was drinking tea when I found out Palin was McCain's pick! :)

Why stop there, mods can disable the entire forum. :idea:

Well, the poll will NOT be, "who'd you vote for?" :twisted:

Was he the gay one in the python crew? All I remember is that the one who gets chased off the mountain by topless women in g-strings (in Meaning of Life) is the one gay guy-- was that him? Oddly enough, I believe it was one of my scoutmasters (not the one convicted of molestation, the other one) who taught me that... :shock:

Yup, Graham Chapman was the lone homosexual Python. He's also the lone dead Python, but the two are mercifully unrelated. :)

I'm voting for Obama. And I could go on and on about how I've hoped he would be the Democratic nominee since 2005, how I never thought it would happen, and how beyond thrilled I am that it is now his election to lose...but I'll spare you all the gushing details.

That's a hard one.... I really want to see Stephen Harper OUT, so no way will I vote for the Conservatives... but the Liberals are uninspired/uninspiring... so I'm probably looking at the New Democratic Party.

{sound of crickets}

Oh, you mean in the American election!

<emilylatella> Never mind! </emilylatella>

Oh, you know the American mindset...the whole world revolves around us, and the rest of you just provide quaint additions to our vocabulary.

Eh?

Canada is actually part of the United States, it's just too cold up there for most of us so we let the French have it. ;)

Hrm...my best friend uses much the same logic with her home state of Minnesota. She calls it JV Canada and says that it's just too cold for most Americans so we just loan it to the Maple Leafers. :roll:
