I'm not the wildest fan of red meat, but I still can't resist a really good burger.
Going to get some tea of the green variety as soon as I get the energy to stand up.

Hmmpf, I chose other because I did not see the omnivore option- haha- I thought it said carnivore two times. silly mondays. I use to be vegetarian with spurts of veganism in college, though I've come back to eating meat quite often.
Having some experiments this morning...muahaha. Maybe will follow up with Ali Shan over ice.

I'd say that I'm a "herbivore that eats meat". I hate meat but my body tells me that it needs a certain about of it. Although it is in very small portions and not very ofter, I eat meat when I start bruising and generally feel fatigued.
It is strange how your body tells you exactly what it needs... right now it is saying that it needs some more caffeine! I would hate to neglect my body...Yunnan Jig coming right up!

Omnivore here, but very very little beef and only occasional pork. I'd like to be a vegatarian, but ...
Had PG Tips with breakfast, now craving another mug of something. Hmm.

This is interesting because during high school (four years ago) I was a strict vegetarian. Right now I feel like I could give up most meat and poultry, but I can't do without fish and shellfish. I'm also partial to lamb though.
On a side note, my once-fixed teapot is now broken and unfixable...the glue "melted" under the heat of the water and dropped, and more of the teapot broke. But on a related note I'm in love with my new teapot. It's a bit compressed and made from duan ni so I'm using it with Wuyi teas.
Enjoying some Da Hong Pao in my new teapot

I eat meat. I've thought about giving it up, but have found my reasons why not to.
1) Homo sapiens sapiens (and precursor hominids) have eaten meat for their entirety of being.
2) Homo sapiens sapiens seem to be the first to have fished (earliest fishing artifacts are associated with HSS), and also first to develop art, spaceships, etc. Many anthropologists believe the consumption of fish played a part in early HSS intelligence development.
3) If it weren't for our eating them, these animals would not be born in the first place.
So by my eating meat, I'm giving life. Giving life is what vegetarians and vegans think they're doing, but in reality, they're taking away the need for those animals lives.
Wild animals do, however, get my vote. They should be allowed to strive, and I wish that human beings could stop making this task of life so difficult on them. I really can't agree with hunters who do nothing to make up for the lives they take. I think that like how every tree logged (in my area) has to be replaced with a new tree, every animal killed must be replaced with a new one. Death and birth are only natural, so why not accept them as such, and use them to create a better balance.
So while I eat meat, I look for the farms that offer the best living terms to these animals. Free-range, hormone-free, etc. My wish is that I could get my meat from a farm who lets their animals live long and full lives, then when they're on the deteriorating side of life, and only then, do they get culled.
I was vegetarian for 15 years and five of those were under a strict vegan diet. Last year I started eating meat though by recommendation from a holistic doctor I've been seeing here in the area. I was in denial for a long time but I can deny no longer that my body NEEDS meat every now and then.
English breakfast tea for me right now.
Have a great Monday everyone!
