That's pretty much how I feel, yet that Tokoname Kikumaru fromPentox wrote:Once I covered most of my bases for teapots I haven't been craving any.
Rishi is still calling to me. Kinda hard to hear over the roar of the
teacups though, ha!

I crave pots more than cups simply because I have so many mugs. One day (when I have my mansion
) I'll have plenty of both.
Today I had an English Breakfast tea from The Tea Emporium (a blend of Assam and China black) and just finished a mug of organic fair-trade dark hot chocolate from Camino. Later, I'll have some of the jasmine green tea I found at the grocery store. The brand is Uncle Bill Tea, from Taiwan, and it was vacuum sealed in a canister. The leaves are nice and big!

Thanks for the kind words, Jazz. The flower is a Rose of Sharon bloom. It was given to me by a tree in the back yard.jazz88 wrote: @sal – where do you get those gorgeous flowers? Nice image – clean and elegant.

Thanks for the compliments; they really are deeply gratifying.kongni wrote: Sal - that picture is amazing! So beautiful! Do you ever show or sell your photos?
Kongni, I do show photos ... every day on TeaChat! Between digital photography and the internet, there is such an abundance of really phenomenal images immediately available to anyone with a computer that I am just delighted to have an audience willing to look at one picture per day. I hate to tell you this, but the percentage of normal, healthy people who have even a passing interest in tea photos is a little low.

But I do eat up the praise despite my firm grasp of reality!

Sal, I don't know if you know this, but we're already not 'normal' people -- we're tea connoisseurs on a tea forum. And I, for one, appreciate good photography.Salsero wrote: I hate to tell you this, but the percentage of normal, healthy people who have even a passing interest in tea photos is a little low.

Yay! Someone else with 7 kitties! Yeah, they don't blend too well with breakables... I left a cabinet over the counter open last night when putting up dishes. Twenty minutes later, DH found a cat in there.reey wrote:I like decorative teapots, but with 7 cats in the place, breakables have to be limited. My china cabinet is already full, so I can only sit and sigh when I see pretty teapots.

I wasn't able to hit TC yesterday and I feel like I've been gone for weeks! Our phone systems (figuratively) exploded yesterday, so I've been cleaning up that mess along with about 4 other projects that have been sitting out there forever, but now someone has decided they all need to be moved on and done by Friday. Sigh. I liked it better when everyone was on hold due to finances. But, darn it, now we have money!
My life has been sadly lacking with tea - made even more pathetic by all the oolong box pass samples I have crying to be brewed. Gotta break one out tonight while watching the second half of the Heroes season premier from Monday.
Inconceivable! This is problem which must be fixed at once!auggy wrote: My life has been sadly lacking with tea - made even more pathetic by all the oolong box pass samples I have crying to be brewed. I've been sadly lacking the usual amount of tea myself AND looks like I'll be catching up on my taped episode of Heroes tonight too. Love that show.auggy wrote: My life has been sadly lacking with tea - made even more pathetic by all the oolong box pass samples I have crying to be brewed. In my cup currently - the last steep of my Black Dragon Oolong.

Voted 5 regarding the teapots. They're more utilitarian rather than a craving. Teacups on the other hand...
It's a sad day at my house. I'm in the process of drinking the last of my Shincha Hatsumi.
I've held onto my precious last teaspoon full until I was really craving it & tonight was it. Off to make a second steep.

Ahhh too bad. It will be Shincha time again before you know it. In the meantime there are sooooo many oolongs! And for me Darjeelings are opening a whole new world to me. Especially the greener first flushes, which those too are fading from the market.henley wrote:It's a sad day at my house. My last steep of the day is Sweet Flower Oolong from Tea Source.
A nice everyday oolong.
