I chose "completely veg" because I love when I actually get to do that. I drink tea all day, but generally I most enjoy the cups I have first thing in the morning, lying on the couch, reading Teachat... and my after-work cups, snuggling the dog who's missed me all day, sometimes reading teachat or a book or watching some kind of TV fluff. Even though I may be engaged in "doing something" while I drink tea, all of those activities are a mental veg-out for me.

In my cup this morning... a 2nd infusion of some Wuyi Ensemble from last night, accompanying a lovely omelet and toast... very tasty. And I already have some Maharani (i probably always misspell that) Estate Darjeeling 2008 brewed and ready to drink. I am loving that stuff. The Dj 22 from adagio is nice, but has such a different taste profile than some of the lighter/greener/oolongier Darjeelings. I think I must start a Darjeeling thread because I really need to order some very soon and would love to hear about vendor recommendations.

***This organic blend is earthy & spicy, with a fragrant aroma & smooth flavor to captivate the senses. Naturally sweetened in the Kentucky sunshine & infused with natural energy. Equally delicious when served piping hot or crisply chilled.***

I'm having a green Darjeeling this morning to start my day.

Happy Friday everyone!

I chose "other" since I enjoy tea when doing just about anything...or nothing!!

Enjoyed a great Egytian Camomile last evening!

Darjeeling in the cup this morning. :D

I like to do nothing but watching the tea leaves when drinking green tea. And I like to read teachat when drinking any tea.
But, I don't know why, my belly can hold so much water, and my tea session is usually very long with a few hours and lots of water :P So most of the time, I have to do something when drinking tea, reading a book or working on computer.

Lao Zhu Da Fang green tea this morning. This is my first time to have it and am totally in love with it :D Today is my working from home day, and I will have a whole noon and afternoon for oolong :D
By sitting in peace and doing nothing,
You make your one day worth two days.

No tea this am yet, feeling quite under the weather and depressed. Maybe this afternoon...any suggestions?

I love to multi-task so I like all the above, but listen to music would be #1 for me.

Have a FAB TeaDay

I voted for watch sports or tv but the time of year heavily influenced that answer. Regular season hockey started for me last night (even though my team lost) so now my happy veg time is watching hockey and sipping tea. You can always tell when I'm truly vegging when I have my laptop on my lap but it is closed. For me, watching TV while doing nothing else is ultimate brain dead time (most of the time I just use it as background noise/visual). I can't just sit and listen to something - my brain goes a million different directions and I end up being so distracted by my thoughts that I end up not even tasting the tea. I have to visually zone out to truly zone out. And yes, I'm a visual learner! :)

Happy Friday, all. Hope it goes quickly!

Shelob, I hope you feel better today. Japanese greens and darjeelings always seem to make me think happy, spring-like thoughts. Maybe try one of those?

Thanks for the advice auggy! Japanese green will probably be the choice, I'll check back later.

Everyone enjoy your Friday!

My ideal would be listening to sounds of silence or completely vegging out, however, in my house neither of those things ever really happen. So, I enjoy my tea whenever and wherever I can.

This morning tried a sample of Adagio's Cinnamon tea. It was tasty and contributed to the fall feeling of cooler mornings, but I don't know if I would drink it every day.

TGIF everyone!

I usually do some reading while drinking tea, but unfortunately that reading is usually homework. I'd prefer to enjoy my tea in silence and enjoy the fine nuances, but I'm just too busy as a student to do that

Adagio's Irish breakfast is making me utterly happy right now. I'm so very glad I got the 4oz tin instead of just a sampler. I want to drink a gallon of it. So, so delicious.

I find I can only really appreciate the taste of tea while reading a book.

Either that or by having a tea party!

I had to pick other because of the lack of an "all of the above" option. I drink tea while doing everything, but if I had to narrow it down to favorites they would be the things I hardly have time for in a day, read, knit, and watch a movie from start to finish.
Life is like a cup of tea, savor it slowly or it will be gone too fast

I love curling up in my comfy chair, listening to music with my cat on my lap and a cup of tea in my hand. Close behind that is reading a book, but I tend to get absorbed into the books and forget about the tea.

Today is starting with Oolong #8 for the three hour car trip home for the weekend.

I really enjoy a cup of tea just sitting there listening to the sound of silence. It actually helps me to relax better than listening to music or reading a book.

This morning I started off with Oolong#40. I'm about to brew some of Den's genmaicha.
