Tea is a hobby for me. Tea has risen and fallen over the years in my interest, never falling lower than the "Beverage" category. I enjoy finding out about and experiencing different teas and the drinking is definitely relaxing. Tea is not my only hot drink. I also drink coffee and I also approach coffee with the same interest of learning about and experiencing different coffees and brewing methods. Recently, I have found myself more of a morning tea drinker and an evening coffee drinker.

Still on an oolong kick, I am drinking wuyi ensemble this morning.

Habit--for my morning will not get started without my tea.
Beverage--for it's the only hot drink I like.
Hobby--because I like to collect pots, try new teas, read TeaChat, read/buy tea books, find tea shops and explore them.

You really needed a "multiple options" here, Chip!

Assam Melody in my cup this morning, from one of my Adagio samplers. Must remember to write a review of it...
Although my neighbors are all barbarians,
And you, you are a thousand miles away,
There are always two cups on my table.

Good Morning everyone! Checking in for Shelob/Skye again.

She will be released today from the hospital and should be in Pa by the end of next week.

Good news I believe, her lung is just collapsed, not punctured and her back will need PT, just like Doc T stated. She is still in pain, not as much, anger has set in as far as her wrists..... she really feels Stupid for falling off the top of the ladder, really could lhave been avoided! Anyway, she is rolling with the punches and looking forward to a few weeks of recuperating w/her Mom.

Again, much thanks from her to you for your genuine concern. I'll be back! Micki

No tea yet, no time! But it will be green, not sure exactly how to brew it though :(

Maybe I can check the green tea topic and find out :D :D :D

Tea is much more than a hobby for me. It is an integral part of my lifestyle. I went through coffee phases, energy drink phases, etc but I always came back to tea.

Continuing to drink Hibikian shincha like a fiend this morning. I just love the way this tea makes feel. What was that word for "tea energy"? Something with 'qi' 'or 'chi' in it. Can't remember at the moment but I definitely feel like this tea gives you a nice clean, refreshing boost :D

Have a wonderful day everyone! Thanks for your undying passion for tea!

I think I am between 1 and 2. I can't say exactly 1, because tea is not a top priority in my life. Sometimes when I get busy, I may not have tea in weeks. But I would love it to become a priority in my life and constantly think about doing some tea thing as work instead of just spare time hobby (which I can't afford too much).

It also varies for different aspect of tea. For example, so far puerh is nothing more than a healthy beverage to me. But who knows, maybe someday I will discover the true beauty of it and get into it :D I recently have this fetish on inexpensive, good-looking teapots - it's so strong that it's distracting! But I don't know if it will last as long as my passion to tea leaves :P

Yellow Mountain Finch Tongue in my cup now. It's so beautiful!
By sitting in peace and doing nothing,
You make your one day worth two days.

Happy anniversary, EW.

I am guessing it is a passion for me. If this is not a passion, I am scared to think what a passion for me would be.

Started the day with Chiran Supreme, Pyrate and Wulong observed intently, while Sweetie jumped right in.

Probably hobbie -- but then I get a bit obsessive about my hobbies when the learning curve is steep. :D

Irish Breakfast to start the day.

uncleiroh's words above are perfect. a passion, most definitely; in some ways a philosophy as well.

a nice chinese green my friend gave to me the other day to welcome the afternoon with. perhaps the last of my ym sencha to be finished off a wee bit later.

Made my first trip to the local asian market here and picked up some stuff.

Made miso soup for lunch with tofu and udon noodles. I'm eating it right now along with Adagio's gyokuro tea. A perfect companion to the meal.

Tea is definitely a passion for me. There are somethings that I pick up as a hobby that only hold my interest for a few weeks, but my love of tea is still going strong after a few years.

Happy anniversary, Omegapd! May you have many more happy years together to come.

Today, I am trying to finish off the last bits of the honeybush sample tins that I got a while ago. Currently, I am drinking the last cup of vanilla honeybush.
