Although the taste of Megami Sencha from Ito En might have been the most delicious.
Yeah, another pu drinker :D

I drank a lot of oolongs this month, which was very enjoyable.

This morning, I'm just drinking some Raspberry Sangria herbal tea. It tastes like a tart and fruity Koolaid drink. The color that it brewed up is blood red- scary

Japanese green for me. It's my comfort drink this month as I've been sick. When I've had the energy to make it.

Good news is, I'm feeling much more myself today. Bad new is "myself" still can't breathe. Grr.

Almond tea this morning. My teas are getting dangerously low. I pretty much have two oolongs, two Japanese greens, one Chinese green and no Darjeeling. The only thing I have enough of is flavored blacks and I need the occasional Darjeeling in the morning. I see a tea order in my future. Oh yes.

My fave for October was a rather humbly priced Gyokuro, Yame from O-Cha. Finding an everyday (= inexpensive but still good) gyokuro that suits my finicky palate is no small feat.

Began my TeaDay with an asamushi sencha joined by Sweetie, a new convert to green Wulong, and Little Bit showed a passing interest.
blah blah blah SENCHA blah blah blah!!!

Well bless my soul, Black tea is leading the votes at this hour! I know it probably won't hold through the day as more Teachatters cast their votes, but this is either a sign of the changing weather or a symbol of Victoria's successful mission to ignite more interest in black teas.

I had to work until around 0230, finally got home to sleep, and am ready to head back to the hospital now for another action-packed day. One of my little girls is in labor... and she is LITERALLY a little girl, 17 years old and 4'10" in height. Father of the baby weighed 10 lbs at birth. Not a good combo for an easy childbirth. I'm trying to be optimistic. I spent most of yesterday trying to keep my Jehovah's Witness from bleeding to death... she preferred death to a transfusion, which is a tremendous moral challenge for me. And nurse-midwives are supposed to be the champions of NORMAL birth. Sigh.

OK, enough of all that... lets talk Tea. In my cup this morning is Adagio's Pouchong, 1st infusion is delicious but I always like the 2nd better and tend to intentionally overbrew it a smidge... but it will be yummy. I am hoping to get my nilgiri samples from SpecialTeas today and maybe my new Adagio samples too. I'm looking forward to trying something new, as always.

Have a great tea day, everyone. :)

Sarah
***This organic blend is earthy & spicy, with a fragrant aroma & smooth flavor to captivate the senses. Naturally sweetened in the Kentucky sunshine & infused with natural energy. Equally delicious when served piping hot or crisply chilled.***

Enjoying greens mostly this month.

Had an Assam this morning, and I just can't seem to get into most black teas. They are just too strong for me I think.

After my big thrill of being the first to post on this TeaDay, the prospects of my day seem to be a little pale. I think I need some more challenging goals in my life. :)

Sarah, I so admire your commitment to your girls. I hope the 17 year old and her baby came came through without complication.

Sal,
lovely photo as usual! Do you have a wing of your home just for photography accessories?

This morning at work I'm enjoying an iced combo of Adagio Assam Melody and Ceylon Sonata, after a mug of Dooars Oodlabari Estate at home.

Geeber, I got your lovely package yesterday but forgot to bring it to work!!!
A nice black would taste really good right now, still feeling stuffy and congested and not wanting to be here, yet here I am.

In my cup this morning TeaSource Sweet Flower Oolong

Have a nice day everyone!

Glad to hear you're feeling better today Auggy!

Japanese green is the good stuff for me as well this month. Not much of a surprise though.

HI,

I drank more black tea than anything else this month.

BUT I did try some new teas. I ordered samples from Adagio, the new AliShan, and a Pu Erh Poe - OH MY GOSH, THEY ARE SO GOOD!

TeaChat has helped me learn about new teas, how to drink them, and how to appreciate them. Love TeaChat!!!

Have a wonderful day!

Oolong a little earlier, and Adagio's new White Symphony, really quite nice. Picking up a lot of fruitiness in my first attempt.
