It was Adagio first, TeaChat not long after.
Life is like a cup of tea, savor it slowly or it will be gone too fast

Yay Sal! First Post of the Day!

I voted Adagio first, then TeaChat. I was tired of bitter, tasteless tea bags, wanted an alternative, and found Adagio. As I wanted to learn even more about tea I started reading the forum and found it a very educational and friendly place to be!

This morning I'm giving TeaSource's Dooars Oodlabari another try with more leaf and less brewing time. It's better, but still has some bitterness that I don't care for. I've discovered that the 2nd steep is much smoother, so I'd better gulp this one down fast! Then I'll have some Adagio in honor of our poll today.

Jungpana Mountain Dew 1st Flush

I Voted on TD then I Voted in the Election.
How's that for priorities??

Raining here in Southern CA today, but I like

I ordered from Adagio first, and then happened to find TeaChat separately through a Google search for "tea forum".

I agree that the numbering scheme for teas is annoying.

In my cup right now is a third infusion of Bai Mu Dan. I may get tired of this tea before the leaves give out! Note to self: next time you make an oolong, brew just one cup at a time. Heh.

(Oh, and I voted last week via absentee ballot. Voting by mail rocks.)

I have yet to try Adagio Teas. I just joined TeaChat. I follow some tea blogs and found this site on the web. I look forward to trying some teas... I will have to look at the options! I'm one of those people who has little tiny one and two oz. bags of everything under the sun and wind up not drinking it all (mostly oolongs) at the optimal time!

V, how's that's Jungpana? TeaSource sent me a sample of the 2nd flush and I haven't tried it yet.

Oregon does vote-by-mail, so I sent my ballot a couple weeks ago. It's convenient, but kind of takes away some of the drama of voting!

I kind of like the names on Adagio's teas. If you are a beginner at tea, it's less intimidating than other sites that have fifty different varieties of Ceylon or whatever (just an example) followed by all of the rating letters. Adagio's system lets you choose from a couple types of each, and makes it easier to decide whether you like that style of tea. It might be nice if they had more varieties of each tea so that when a person wants to expand their horizons, they don't need to shop elsewhere.

I ordered tea first then came here. As Sal said, mostly to learn about what I had bought. And as so many of us became obsessed and couldn't let go.

I joined TeaChat several weeks before my first Adagio order.

No tea for me today. :( I didn't have time to make my tea before voting so afterward I was going to run home and grab things to make tea at work, but apparently I can only make so many big decisions in a day because I couldn't figure out what tea to bring and ended up having to just go on to work tea-less. Of course, with no morning tea to jump start me, my head is foggy.

Ironically, the church I work at is being used as a polling location but I cannot vote here (wrong county, much less precinct). That would have made my day too easy. And I would have had time to make tea!

I really need tea. :(

Her poor mother has had quite a day. Was good to be there for them and to meet their gorgeous 8 lb baby girl. The sperm donor, also 15, was down in the hospital lobby with his new girlfriend, having dumped the pregnant one months ago. Made me wanna go and give the new girlfriend a birth control lecture.
Is it just me or the girls having babies getting younger and younger these days? Ah, kids. Sounded like you had quite a night there Sarah. 10 hours of work is definitely worth a nice cuppa tea. Cheers~

For the topic: I discovered TC through ordering Adagio teas first. At the time, being someone that never had loose leaf tea, my first cup tasted so different, but good! From there on, I wanted to learn more about loose leaf teas. Then from my strong thirst for tea knowledge, I started trying out other vendors based off of recommendations from other teachatters. So I now have a growing collection of tea and tea ware that can't be controlled.

This morning, no real tea of course, but had a yummy Avocado Bubble Tea (blended ice w/ Avocado mix, milk, & tapioca balls).

I stumbled across TeaChat when I started to read more tea blogs. Most of the bloggers roam around here so I figured if I wanted to be "in" with the tea community I'd better join up. Also, I wanted to use this forum as a way to get the word out for my own blog and learn about what other people are doing. It's also been a great way to learn more about tea in general.

I haven't ordered from Adagio yet, but I plan to soon. I make a big tea order at the start of every month from a different vendor, and this month is TeaCuppa, because I'm in the mood for Wuyi.

I found the forum because I was looking for a tea forum. I haven't bought from Adagio yet. I tend to buy local whenever I can.

Darjeeling in the cup this morning. I'm on "late shift" so I'll be in the office until 7:30PM eastern.

I had ran out of some loose tea that I had gotten in Ottawa and was rather sad that it was gone so I googled "tea" to see what would come up. Adagio was either the sponsored link or very close to the top of the list. There were probably other sites on the list too, but Adagio had the nifty music theme, which I really liked. Naturally, I had to click all the links on the sidebar, which brought me to TeaChat.

Today I am trying the Big Red Robe Oolong from TeaSource and it is absolutely delicious. I am not sure I like the three finger method to gaiwan pouring though. It feels awkward, and I keep burning the tips of my fingers even though they are at the topmost edge.
