I can always collect more Pu-erh, so tea it is for me...

Got some Rose Pu-erh with me tonight at work.

You guys got a bad batch. By all means return, exchange, complain, gripe, get replacements. They are not supposed to be like that. Wouldn't hurt to refer them to this thread, BTW, when you register your complaint.
Good memory Sal. Yes, we used the bodum glasses for espresso at a restaurant I used to work at. They held up very well to all sorts of abuse.

As for the topic, I'm not much for Christmas, so I don't have an answer.

Just got home from a baby-catching expedition... lil girl, and i mean lil... 5 lb 13 oz. Very cute. Mom is 16. Babies having babies.

I answered a tea brewing vessel... because i really would love to have that Adagio concert teapot AND a nice gyokuro vessel AND a couple of yixing pots.

But I also want some Bodum pavinas... and a Zoji water heater. And tea. Greedy!

As for Bodum, I bought 2 pieces at a William Sonoma... broke one before it ever held a drop of liquid, and while it was mostly my fault for being careless, I thought the glass was very fragile and shattered with minimal impact. But it might have been the shape, it was a larger-sized cup with a handle. The other piece... I haven't seen in a while. It must be tucked in the back of my cabinet... will have to look later.

Drinking some mugicha before I sleep... abundent caffeine disrupted my sleep last night, which hardly ever happens.

Sweet dreams and Happy Tea Day to all,

Sarah

Wow, this thread had a lot of responses already this morning...! I hadn't thought about it, so that's how I voted. But of course, now with the question asked, I *have* thought about it. I guess I'd go with tea, but to be honest, right now I'm actually up to my eyeballs in everything tea-related, so I'm not that hard-pressed for more.....

I did have my first casualty this morning, though. My first tea to finish off completely was Adagio's ali shan sample tea. It was a combination of me enjoying it, and the fact that I brewed it strongly :D

I need a gaiwan. I probably won't wait until Xmas to get one, though.

Golden Monkey in my cup right now.

Christmas present for myself? That is a brilliant idea. Not sure what though. I've been wanting a nice chawan for a long time, maybe a chawan and some Uji Manten matcha :D

Having matcha kaoru supreme now accompanied by the beautiful music of Teiji Ito.

I don't wait Christmas to buy myself presents, teaware or not...

I still "need" a tea tray like this one:

Ippodo sells it but it has their logo on it so I need some more pictures to decide if I spend 15000 Y for it.

Hibiki-an sencha SP this afternoon.

A new gaiwan and another kyusu. And like Victoria, I'd like to re-work my TeaSpace. The time it would take to re-vamp would also be a nice gift. :)

Happy Friday TeaDay everyone!

I don't trust any of my friends or family to buy me good tea. I would be too likely to end up with apple-flavored bags from Lipton. I'll just treat myself to some new whites and oolong.

Been thinking about this for ages and have decided I will treat myself to some Matcha and matcha wares this christmas, as it is still unexplored territory for me! Just had a really nice few steeps of my last 3g of Yutaka Midori blended with 1.5g of gyokuro shou-un. Started at 65 degrees C, 160ml, 1.5 mins and gradully increased both, fantastic! Jack :D

I want it all but I went with tea for my vote because I have a huge list of teas to buy :D

In my work cup right now is a flavored Green Tea from NM Tea Co called Crime of Passion. I also had a Darjeeling this morning before I left.

I haven't started a list, yet!

I'm thinking a heating device and possible a gaiwan would be nice.

Margaret's Hope darjeeling in the cup to start the work day.

Not sure what I want. I think I voted for tea, but I might not wait that long. I will probably end up getting another gaiwan or 2 as well as a tray.

This morning I'm trying the Wuyi Ensemble from Adagio. Very good. Probably going to get more. I think I need to try a couple of Wuyi (Yancha?) teas. Any favs?
