As a die-hard minnesnowtan I need my cold and snowy winters
Life is like a cup of tea, savor it slowly or it will be gone too fast

How about warmth and snow? I like sit by the heater and look outside during a snowstorm with a hot cup of liquid campfire...lapsang souchong.

I do better in the warmth than in the cold. I don't even like the a/c on too high.

So far I'm drinking 2001 Meng Ku Yuan Yieh Xian "Thick-Papered" from Hou De. Tomorrow or later today I'm going to try the "Thin-Papered" for comparison.

I was born in Washington, D.C, grew up in Northern VA and transplanted down south. I remember seeing a snow flake a couple of years ago, though it may have been a pigeon with bad dandruff.

In my cup (4th pot of the day) is decaf Irish Breakfast Blend with chopped candied ginger, a couple whole cloves and a bit of broken cinnamon stick.
Jeanne - I never met a tea pot I didn't like.

That sounds like a REALLY yummy combo! I never thought of using crystalized ginger for tea :D

Had four mugs of Yunnan Gold this morning...I love that tea.

We're all heading to the mountains to go skiing here in a couple weeks. At least, THEY will ski. I will hang around the condo by the fire, with books, tea, and music. I can't wait to get my hands on Enya's newest CD!

I would go to the beach. I love the snow, of course I would I live in the far Northeast. So I would if I could - for a vacation go to the warmth, however I love where I live and wouldn't change it for the world! boy is that confusing or what...?

Quik cup of Darjeeling from yesterday and off on many errands. Back lator..
Have a FAB TeaDay everyone!

{V, thanx I got it, I'll pm ya when I have time to chat!! 8)}

I voted for sun and warmth, but what I would really like is to be away from wind. (We have a lot of that in my part of Oregon!) I probably wouldn't be very happy in a place where there weren't distinct seasons.

Sal, loved the tea tasting demo on your photos today, it was both beautiful and educational - can't ask for much more than that!

Brandon, your photo was lovely also. I really like the perspective of the way the cups lead up to the pot, as well as the zen quality of the whole photo.

This morning I have a cup of Nilgiri Craigmore Estate cooling a bit before drinking. I haven't tasted it yet, but it looks and smells good.

I absolutely hate the summer time when it gets over 85*F with high humidity. I can't function at all in that kind of weather. I thrive when it gets cold and snows and I love autumn especially with all the pretty leaves, but if it is too hot or too humid, I am completely miserable.

This morning, I am drinking sencha.

Are you near Vogel at all? That's such a gorgeous area. We were there summer of 07 for a family reunion and spent the week in one of the cabins. I so want to go back and maybe during the fall.

I'm all about the warmth. I would love to live somewhere that the weather was always sunny and 75+. Then I could vacation to cold places but come home to defrost. Though I am with Cinnamon kitty about not being a fan of humidity.

Snow buds mountain green in my cup again this morning. Still working on it form last night.

enjoying free wi-fi and long jing brewed for me in a local tea shop. It's six in the evening and my hangover is showing no signs of receding.

If someone offers you some Genever gin from a clay bottle at 3am I urge you to decline, no good will come of it.

I'm thinking my 90's tou cha from Nada might be the first victim when I get home.

I'm with you, though I have an even lower tolerance for heat -- above 80*F, and it's too hot for me, and the humidity doesn't really bother me until it's over 75%. That may in part be because I have really dry skin, though, so high humidity just makes me feel normal.

About to go make a cup of Qi Zhong to go with lunch.

You have my sincere sympathy. Oh how the memories come surging back of hangovers past. Waste no time in getting some good strong tea into you.

I live in Canada so I am more inclined to daydream about the sun and warmth; especially around January. I have a long commute to work so the romantic notion of snow, fireplace, and comfort food fades in the reality of half an hour shovelling snow and an hour and a half driving on what seems like a skating rink.

However, right now its cool and overcast and the ground is still bare with the sight of green fir trees out my window. The day promises to be lazy and comfortable and has been significantly enhanced already by two mugs of Yunnan Gold.
