Now I feel lucky

Wow. Now I feel lucky having gotten the January sample - that was my first contact with Adagio. This may become an obsession. Thanks, everybody!

This is the third time (third month) I've applied. I've spent a total of $199 on Adagio on tea since I signed up in December, and I really do want to try cooking with tea - I'm allergic to pretty much all herbs and spices, with the exceptions of saffron, the flesh and cores of peppers (no seeds), salt, garlic, and onion. Which leaves me with very few options for cooking - the standards are alcohol (tequila, gin, and whiskey), garlic, onion, fresh peppers (without seeds), peppers that have been dried and ground to powder (also without seeds), salt, soy sauce, teriyaki sauce, and (since TeaChef gave me the idea) tea. So I would really like to be able to qualify and recieve sample teas to cook with.

I feel kinda left out because I've applied twice before, in January and February, and apparently been rejected. Which makes me all sad.

Please, Adagio, can't I play, too?

Are you using the same e-mail address that you use to make orders?

I'm just wondering, because I had been hoping that John Grebe's hypothesis was correct. I've also made orders with Adagio, and signed up to receive this month's sample. I made sure to use the same e-mail address, so they wouldn't miss me.

If you don't get accepted this month, you could buy the sample for one month, put together a recipe on it, and submit it. Ilya says that you're a shoe-in if you've submitted recipes in the past, so that should work...

Not that I've tried it. But it's a thought.

P.S. When I signed up for March, it said the tea was going to be English Breakfast. But now I see that it's changed to Irish Breakfast. Anyone know why they changed it?
