I absolutely agree - very funny very cute, Treazure

My plus is organization (sample tins are tucked into individual drawers of a spice chest) and my downfall is hurry.

I too try to avoid vegetables that can be used as baseballs, and catch all falling chinaware. I'm happy because I am planning to purchase new (to me) tea, probably later when I DO NOT HAVE TO RUSH.

I'm planning on Assam Harmony this morning.

+ 1. You have a marvelous way with words, Treazure.

Continuing yesterday's fascination with Baozhong. My horizons are widening by the hour these day. Thanks, TeaChat!

I'm not a TeaSlob or TeaKlutz, but my tea collection is sitting on the countertop by our refrigerator. It's organized in baskets until I make space in one of the cabinets, which, coincidentally, I was planning to do today. :)

No tea yet this morning, but I think I'll probably go with some Irish Breakfast.

Hello, my name is Sarah, and I'm a recovering TeaSlob.

Image

My tea area was an absolute mess, and I did a massive re-organization last week. I now have a box containing around 40  empty sample tins, and I have all my tea cannisters and tins on my baker's rack, along with some of my teaware This has freed up my counterspace enormously, thank goodness.

On the downside, I sometimes fall asleep at night without cleaning out all my soggy leaf. I know, it's not good, and I am trying to do better. I do rinse my teaware with boiling water if leaf has been sitting for any amount of time, just to help kill any lingering bacteria.

In my cup this morning was Nilgiri Glendale Estate FOP... that stuff is pretty strong! But very tasty. Not as good as the handmade, but nice.

Sarah

In this morning's cup again the Bohea. I am very hooked on this stuff
right now. Thinking of buying more and doing massive hoarding, after
all it's a limited edition and may never be found again.
Yikes!!

Happy Sunday everyone!

I am a klutz in all areas of life (wake up with random bruises gained from furniture, and I've sprained my ankles at least 15 times) including tea prep, the most common result is hot tea on bare foot. The only time I'm not super klutzy is if I happen to be forced to wear heels, rollerskates, or walk on ice.
Life is like a cup of tea, savor it slowly or it will be gone too fast

Whew, at least it wasn't a raw potato!

I'm a klutz. No matter how careful I am, I manage to bump into things, trip over my own feet, or knock things over. I've actually been doing worse that usual in the past few weeks with dropping my gaiwan saucer while drying it and then just a few days ago, having the lid of my glass teapot fall off and meet the floor while I was pouring hot tea out of it. I am no longer allowing myself to buy any tea ware made of thin glass ever again.

I am definitely not at TeaSlob though. All my pots and cups must be cleaned before I go to sleep at night. Most of them are cleaned shortly after I finish with the tea. Any spills are wiped up with my tea towel. My tea cart is very organized and gets cleaned out regularly too. Now if I could only solve the problem of accidentally breaking things, it would be good.

This afternoon, I am enjoying the Glendale Nilgiri Handmade.

I'm really neat and careful with my tea drinking. I have one green tea pot, one black/other pot and two cups out at all times. My tea is in tins and packages in the pantry and I only take out the tea I'm about to use. I would actually like to have more of it out on display or visible but my housemate is a neatnick about the kitchen.

Shincha this morning, then matcha. Brewing some nice organic tippy yunnan. Zoom! :D

Have a great Sunday everyone!

Victoria, CRAP! what broke? :(

Battra, I love that green leaf cup and saucer. Great shape! (great photo too!)

treazure, OMG! I love your descriptions, I am laughing. You will have me feeling back to my old self in no time.

Chip, the question confuses me. I take super-good care of my teaware, but it tends to be a little disorganized. All week I pile teas in the cupboard, but about every 10 days, I take it all out, bring things forward that need to be used, and sort my samples so I know what's there. So I don't know how to answer the question.

Sal, are the flowers dianthus? We are way past flower season here. I suppose I could put some dead sticks in my teaphotos...

Hello, all! Yesterday I was computer-less all day as hubby did a reinstall on my system to try to get rid of some quirks that appeared after I got a virus. Now things seem to be running well so yay! Now I'm just waiting for our new entertainment center to be delivered.

I am not really a teaslob or klutz. I'm pretty neat, but not overly. I'm more klutzy than anything but fortunately it doesn't really manifest by dropping or breaking things but rather by walking into things. I have a bruise on my ankle that has been there for 3 weeks and I'm not sure what caused it. That's pretty typical for me, though. No teaware is hurt - just me.

No tea yet today. Didn't have time this morning and when I got back from church I had to hit TC to catch up before making tea. So now that I'm mostly caught up, I will go root around to find something to sip on.

Not a TeaSlob, although I'll cop to being a TeaSlobberer! :P

I voted for "definitely a TeaKlutz", as there wasn't an option for "occasional TeaKlutz" (and it wouldn't be honest to say that I'm never a TeaKlutz).

Actually, I'm a klutz at heart, full stop. Luckily, one side benefit of studying tea ceremony is that I've learned to touch and move things more slowly and deliberately... so I now break things a lot less than I used to. When I chip or break something, it's almost always because I'm in a rush and behaving less mindfully than I should. Generally I'm very very careful with teaware, though, so it's less likely to happen in that department.

evilberg: Regarding scones, the recipe I used today was from this page (in swedish) - it worked fine.

GeekgirlUnveiled: I'm happy that you appreciate it - it's one of the classic patterns of the Swedish porcelain factory Gustavsberg, and it made me a bit nostalgic when I saw that they had started to produce it again - they are in fact the only remaining porcelain factory in Sweden.
