Today's TeaPoll and discussion topic. Again a suggestion by Eastree (where is?Tea and Mood, drink for mood, or mood for drink?" This is going to be a mind bender I think.

This I must try.

The only time tea creates a mood for me is when it's a social thing with friends. And even though I mostly drink solo, I agree with the Chinese idea that this is an experience meant to be shared.

Yes it is very good, the chocolate gets a little of the tea/milk absorbed so it tastes amazing. This got me thinking and I am looking up a way to make Masala Chai Chocolate Fudge for Thanksgiving

I think there is a problem with this Poll. I chose 'Tea for mood' because I interpreted this as 'I drink tea to fit the mood' but other people see it as 'tea to create the mood'...

Hhaha! Then you should have chosen - Too deep for me.

I voted 'other' which I translate to 'all of the above'

Do I drink tea or is the tea drinking me? Ponder THAT! ;)

Had some fukamushi shincha this morning. Moving on to matcha now :D

Happy tea day everyone!

I voted "drink for mood" because I think that's what mine would fit under (though it was a close call between that and "too deep for me"). Tea is a comfort food for me so a lot of times when I'm feeling really down, I get a cup of tea to cheer me up. Of course, I don't drink tea only when I need cheering up and in those cases, I drink whatever type I'm in the mood for. So ultimately, I guess I could have answered "both" if that had been an option.

I made up the last of my birthday tea this morning. Today I am celebrating my new desk at work - the person that was supposed to help me remove my old (solid wood L-shaped HEAVY) desk and the people that were supposed to help me put the new desk together all flaked on me so I was at work until 8pm last night doing that - thankfully DH came to help me or I'd probably still be sitting in the floor surrounded by pieces of desk. But now my desk is together and there are no dangerous sharp edges to whack my knees on. Yay! Image <-- my happy dance

I, uh, drink tea. And have moods. Sometimes at the same time. Voted Other because the options were making my head spin--I've only had one cup of tea this morning! So cruel.

This is the last week of my semester, and we don't officially get Thanksgiving off, so I have to make up for it by working harder today, and over the weekend. At least it will be over on Monday.

There's an annotation to write, a double batch of pumpkin scones to bake, and... Gonna need more tea.

Too deep for me, especially in my tea-deprived state.

Need to go make some....
Although my neighbors are all barbarians,
And you, you are a thousand miles away,
There are always two cups on my table.

Ahhh! My brain hurts! But after thoughtful consideration I would have to say that I drink for mood.

I generally fire up the kettle to alter my mood - when I am stressed, lethargic or when I am going to work on something complex as I truly believe that it helps my concentration and memory.

I'm trying a charcoal roasted Tung Ting from Red Blossom this afternoon, and the first steep tastes just like cheap drip coffee. Ugh. Maybe it will get better?

:? Does it have hints of schnitzel too? If so, I'm in!

The very last of my Yunnan Gold this afternoon. Seems me and V are getting down on the good stuff we like...oh well, there's plenty of other things out there to try.

No, but it has a lovely duft.

If you want schnitzel, I'm sure Sal can hook you up with a nice
meaty Pu.
