Here is my current set up. It will change by next week after I move out of my college dorm. The window ledge makes a great place to store my tea ware and the small drawer set that usually goes under the desks fits nicely between my desk and my roommate's television. My tea collection is safely stored away in a three drawer cart that didn't gets its picture taken.

I'm liking this thread, it's giving me some good ideas about how I would like to set up a tea corner.

Amateur Hour's over guys!!
Here's the center of my universe - sorry the photos load so slowly. I keep meaning to re-do them, but I'm always so busy drinking tea . . . . .

I've recently re-done my displays to accomodate some new tea trays and wares I've acquired, and will post some of those photos in a few days.
Been drinking some green pu-er recently - it's only 2 years old, but is aging very well. Unfortunately, I'll probably finish it before it turns 3!

I love your setup, with all those pots and cups right at hand. Are the aroma cups as large as they look in the one photo? Do you normally consume tea exclusively in this space or do you also drink tea while you are doing other things?

Hi Salsero,
The aroma cups in the picture are the taller ones, but aren't particularly large (probably the same as other ones posted around in here). I find a lot of shops in Taiwan have shorter aroma cups, but they don't focus the 'bouquet' as well as the tall ones (IMHO).
Yea, I spend most of my drinking time in here. Having my own space means I can close the door, break out the calligraphy brushes, pour some tea, crank up the Van Morrison. I'm also studying tea more seriously, so it's a good place to focus on the tea.
I do set a bamboo tray up on the coffee table during basketball playoffs, however (it's easier than moving the TV!).

more surface area allows more condensation to gather and the depth prolly holds heat a bit longer developing a cloud of tea fragrance waiting to be snorted up in to you honker... makes sense. good observation teaguy.

I'm looking for a good tea shop, theres so much in Miami, hard to find a place that offers quality at a good price.
ABx wrote:breakspirit wrote:sounds like you have a lot more tea stuff than I do, ABx. I'm pretty new to the serious tea scene, so my collection is modest for now.
I have the benefit (or curse, depending on how you look at it) of having a local shop that caters to the Asian community, and so sells basic teaware for cheap. I get all my gaiwans, cups, utensils, and so on, all for under $10

So with even a few months of browsing and experimenting it's easy to build up a big collection without spending much.

The wife went to ikea.
Good thing she bought something for the woozl,
I call it Woozl's Wall of Warez
Not the best photo, more impressive in real time.
But you get the idea.
