A newer thread would be easier to reference.
I might just create my own thread just to find other people's idea of basic guidelines for brewing and come up with a common agreement among the teachat community.

That would probably be your best bet. Brewing parameters are really very personal in a sense, everyones is going to be slightly different and a lot of it comes down to practice, knowing what you like, more practice, understanding what flavors you can get out of pu'erh doing different things, and yet more practicing...

When in doubt - 1g for every 30ml of water with 10 flush, 15 1st steep, 10 second 2nd, 10 3rd, and then add a second or 2 with each subsequent steep for your liking.

Hi,
I have really found this one to be good. It has won gold and silver medals in competitions in Yunnan.
Menghai Chunhai Kongming Brick 2007
The Menghai area is one of the great Pu'er areas.
The Chunhai factory is of moderate age, but known for good work.
Brick is the shape
Kongming is the name of the tea from a specific mountain in the Menghai area.
Cooked teas have the best flavor quickest. The raw pu'er are great, but you really need to let them age a bit at least 5 to 10 years. The cooked tea is drinkable even after one or two years. The cooked teas will improve for the first five years.
I am not allowed to post links yet, but if you use google and search for that name you will find it.
