HAPPY BIRTHDAY, SARAH!
Greens, Japanese, reigned supreme for the year for me, no big surprise there.

THE TEA,
Yutaka Midori classic from O-Cha. There were plenty of other excellent ones and very few that were not.
It was a great year for Japanese greens.
Started the TeaDay with the same gyokuro as Sa'ls photo, Gyokuro, Gyoko Hou from O-Cha. Sweetie likes it too. Gandalf and Koi were front and center with late comers Wulong, Ceylon, and TEAh.

I may be lazy in quoting the birthday wish, but it's not any less heart-felt.
It's only been 2 months since I rolled head-long into really exploring the world of tea. I think looking back for this short time frame, pu-erh really topped it all. Although I do love the diverse qualities of other types of tea, I guess right now oolong and greens being second place.
I look forward to a year fulled with tea!

Happy Birthday Sarah!
Nice
green pic, Sal. My favorite color.
Top tea this year was a close race, but I went with green because of my discovery of Japanese green teas being one of the more unique and enjoyable things from this year.
Happy Holidays! It's snowing here!

Happy birthday, Sarah!
Black tea for me (I am sure you are surprised). I discovered Yunnan Gold this year and love it beyond words.
Although my neighbors are all barbarians,
And you, you are a thousand miles away,
There are always two cups on my table.

Although I diversified this year into black tea and oolong, I still reserve the taste prize for greens; particularly Yutaka Midori for o-cha. First runner up is Long Jing from Adagio. Second runner up is Alishan, also from Adagio. I just ordered some more Chinese greens from Teaspring which I will recieve in January so things may line up differently in 2009.
Today some green kukicha to which I added some matcha (not recommended) and later some Hatsumi blended with Chiran Sencha Supreme (much recommended - yum!).
Day after a large snowfall. Bright winter sun now with the temp at -15 C (+5 Fahrenheit). We got about a foot and a half of snow during a night and the following day. Looking out my computer room window I can see the fir trees with great blobs of snow hanging from their branches like white icing; above, whisps of frozen cloud in a field of bright blue.

Happy Birthday Sarah!
I tasted the whites for the first time this year and found I really enjoy the flavor. I tend to vary my teas between green, oolong and whites. I might have to try the Yucon gold though.

Happy Birthday Sarah!
I've came back to the poll a few times now and I have absolutely no idea so I think I'll have to pass on voting today.
Nice crane Victoria, dead time in work has been used to advance my crane building skills. I really need to expand on the origami as I memorized three or four a couple of years ago and haven't bothered to learn anything new since.

Happy Birthday, Sarah!
I will go with green because sencha is awesome.
Started today with a ginger-mint tisane, finished off my tin of the Glendale Nilgiri Handmade, and am now enjoying some Earl Grey White Tip, which my entire family, including one of the cats, seems to like. That one is definitely on my list of teas to reorder.

Thanks so much everyone, for the sweet birthday wishes. And OmegaPD... sheesh, I can't believe Adagio thinks I'm a man.

I'd better go check my profile, maybe I checked the wrong box. LOL!
Thanks again everyone... big smiles here.
Sarah
