Yes, I do believe 'Sale" is more noticable these days! I am hoping it remains the same after Christmas as I am asking for TEA$$$'s to get the things that I want 8)
We started our day with a generic Jasmine???? Okay but....
Have a FAB TeaDay everyone!

I don't know! :D I haven't done much tea shopping on the 'net and haven't really been looking. 8)

I'm working on my second cup of Lover's Leap estate Pekoe this morning and have so far been very pleased with it. It's a whole leaf Pekoe.

I do see more "SALE SALE SALE" going on this holiday- especially postings on Twitter by some tea vendors.

This morning, I didn't have any tea and didn't get to have any yet, but I totally need to relax with something in my cup ASAP. Probably my alishan because stress level is max today. Err, work. I hate working. I like how I used to just come in and surf the internet and get paid for it.

Business as usual

I haven't found any really impressive sales this year, but you do see the word sale a lot. It is all over the web though, because they say this is the first year that the slowdown in the economy will really hit online retailers as well. Everyone is competing for traffic. They may not offer anything great, but the name of the game is to get you to look at their products.

There are, however, some good prices to be found. I know the price of O-Cha's Uji Matcha Manten was better than the last time I purchased it. Anybody see any other good deals out there?

I agree, no impressive discounts, but a fair number of 10% and free shipping offers. On the other hand, free shipping will often get me to clear my shopping cart(s).

The latest was from Teavana. What I love about those folks, besides their pricing  , is that the codes never take when you enter your order, and it almost always entails a back and forth with customer service to get a credit. They do have a couple things I like (the Himalayan Majestic and the Zingiber Rooibos), so I grin and bear it.

I needed something fruity to sweeten a crabby start to the day, so I had Adagio's Currant with a touch of vanilla soy milk to soothe the savage beast. Mid-morning I had a mug of Cha Cha and now I feel like a nap. :)

I have seen a few decent sales and took advantage of a few. Good timing since I am low on tea. I saw someone was having an insane sale, I had to think they were likely so overpriced to begin with. Can't remember who it was off hand. Apparently it did not impress me that much.

Started the TeaDay with Sencha Premier from Adagio, partly because it is good, but also because I have virtually no other sencha in da haus!!! Sweetie swilled, Gandalf and Koi were present and accounted for.

Hello all! Wow, so many posts to catch up on - and I still have to do this whole "work" thing where more catching up is needed, but the call of TC was too overwhelming!

I've been seeing lots of sale stuff on everything it seems this year. Coupons, too. And have already taken advantage of them to help expand my wardrobe. :) Not so much sale stuff on teas that I've noticed, but eh, I've bought teas anyway.

SIL's visit was a good one - lots of fun. I introduced her to lots of new teas that were yummy - and she still asked me for tea bags. Sigh. Oh well, it's a process!

No tea for me yet today. :( I was running too late this morning to make any so I will have to wait until I get home to have some. At least the day is mostly over!

I saw a lot of sales everywhere this holiday season including various e-mails from tea vendors. I only took advantage of the Adagio one since I was planning on ordering from them any ways.

Today I tried the Long Jing from the box pass. It was pretty good, very vegetal tasting, which I like in green teas. I also made a pot of Adagio's Chestnut tea which my father absolutely loved. He even asked for a second pot of it after we finished off the first one. It is definitely a good thing that I got a large tin of it.

I have given up Bancha ... for SENCHA, since sencha is again in da haus! Timing is everything!

Hey, it's not my fault! I had to be a good host. You should pity me for my absence! It was difficult, lonely and made me very sad.

Okay, it wasn't that bad but I did miss it.
