Merry Christmas TeaFriends. May your day be filled with the Spirit of the holiday.
Started the day with Yabe Sencha from Japanese Green Tea Shop brewed in this new kyusu.

The kyusu is really nice and was perfect for this tea, and the sencha was excellent. Sweetie drank it up as usual, Wulong lost interest and left, Honi Belle was to busy eating but seemed to like the aroma, Gandalf and Pyrit made appearances.
Packing tea for the road ... I am thinking there will be tea gifts today, starting with
Incense Kyoto eau de toilette which has a nice masculine "tea" scent.

Nice kyuusu indeed.
Kaboku sencha right now. ONe more session left before the end of the package.
I will be able to open soon a new sencha: Uji Asamushi Sencha "Ujibashi San no Ma" from Tsuen. Its shincha version (Kirameki) was very good.

Seasonal Message: Bah Humb- err, happy holidays.
Answer: several. A White Sampler from family (older one at that with some unavailable items) and some samplers from Vulture. Anything else is still sitting there is it exists at 9am as we're slowly making breakfast before finishing gifts. Ah, traditions.
In my cup: Jasmine #9 and likely Twining's Jasmine shortly as I gifted a tin to someone who loves Jasmine yet is on-off about loose tea and it usually being better and cheaper per cup.
Edit: ... holy **** that's a lot of teaware. Definitely didn't expect the tea warmer and an electric kettle but that goes to show that the family is crazy when it comes to holidays. Did get a nice steeping spoon that looks rather useful as it has room for upward expansion and appears to have just enough room for a really good cup of tea. Overall it was 11 samplers, 1 duplicate (White Peony), two quarter pounds (the Quince and a Dragon Well), an upgrade to my French press, a removable filter teapot, the teapot warmer, and the electric kettle. Not a bad year for the first in... three years or so to ask for tea stuff from the family. Now to a new year.

Merry Christmas to all!
I did get tea gifts this year. Very thoughtful DH got me Mariage Frères Marco Polo Tea and Mariage Frères book about tea. That is along with Japanese incense and other cute stuff. Isn't he a dear?

Didn't get any tea related gifts but that's o.k. Going to make some Keemun Rhapsody in a sec.

Merry Christmas, everyone!
I recieved a tin of Silver Needle a few weeks ago as an early gift, but nothing tea-related since.
I had Lipton for the first time today.

It's all my grandparents keep around. "Tea? Sure, we've got tea!"

Merry Christmas All!
I've used my electric kettle from Adagio and is it nice. My DH also got me a little heus&brews tea pot in red. This is my second from them. I use that thing daily so it was a good call by him.
The kiddos had a blast and my house is a mess! The kids are happy and that's enough for me.

Merry Christmas / Joyeux Noël, everyone!
Sweet hubby gave me a bag of loose-leaf "tea" by a Canadian company called Tealish - actually a teasane of lemongrass and peppermint known as
Fresh Air. I may try it as an iced drink.
In the meantime, while this doesn't hold a Yule candle to Salsero's wonderful photographic composition, please enjoy a virtual bowl of matcha on me

Mmm, good idea ... I think I will also join you in a
real world matcha. Matcha is seeming to me this year very in keeping with Christmas.
Darling cup, Chamekke!

Maybe it's the colour

I wonder if, in honour of the season, anyone has ever tossed a few red candy sprinkles on top of the matcha foam? Heresy, I'm sure. Still... {strokes chin thoughtfully}

I got one tea gift - tasting cups! Yay! Two were broken in transit, but I've already heard from Adagio about replacements. Seriously, y'all, it's Christmas, take a day off!
I had some Keemun first thing this morning and now am sipping on Margaret's Hope 2nd flush. Good tea day so far and it should continue.
Merry Christmas all!

Chamekke, your matcha looks wonderful and Christmas-sy! I'm going to have to take the plunge and try some.
Salsero, love your festive red and green tea photo.
You guys are getting me into the Christmas mood!
I did receive one tea-related gift, a book called 'The Story of Tea.' It has beautiful photos and even has recipes at the end. It's going to be fun reading it.
