Heh, I don't usually do New Year's resolutions any more since I have a tendency to throw them out the window by January 2nd or possibly the 3rd

However, I do have an ongoing resolution to try to improve my spoken Japanese so that I can communicate better with my tea sensei (= teacher of Japanese tea ceremony). Anyone want to wish me Gambatte?

Other not-particularly-New-Year's resolution is to use up all my matcha while it's still lovely and fresh!

No resolutions around tea, but I'll definitely be doing things where tea is concerned. But 'm not resolved about it.

Gambatte Chamekke! I hope that means good luck!

For me this morning, back to that Shan Shui Teas Baozhong that has me
captivated.

Have a nice day everyone!

I don't have any specific tea resolutions. I intend to try many new teas this year, but don't have a specific resolution to do so. Same with goes with spending less. I'm not sure how much I spent this year but I don't think I want to know.

TeaResolutions, where does Chip come up with this stuff.

I always want to try new teas,
seek out great values in everyday teas (especially Japanese) that are GOOD,
be patient for Shincha and not overstock Japanese teas,
maybe drink more matcha,
refigure out Wuyi oolong which I seem to have forgotten how to brew,
figure out Dan Cong oolong which I have never figured out and is enigmatic for me beyond words,
find some good Dong Ding that I can count on,
get back to Chinese greens again,
find time for black tea which I can never seem to do lately,
and learn more about pu-erh.

I think that is it. 8)

Began the day with Fukamushi Supreme from O-Cha, Sweetie slurped, everyone else just hung out and watched. :D

Fujian Baroque from Adagio was quite good today. And now
blah blah blah SENCHA blah blah blah!!!

I think I'm looking forward to honing my tea techniques. It's been a busy month for me, and I've purchased way too many tea pots. Apparently thick and heavy isn't the way to go for all Dan Cong, only the heavily roasted ones, so I think buying that particular teapot was a mistake. I think I'm beginning to understand the subtle nature of some teas, and what to look for.

In short, I'm looking forward to pacing myself, and not getting caught up in a tea frenzy

Try some new teas, become more skilled at brewing the teas I have, and learning more about the different methods of preparing tea. I don't THINK I need to buy any more teaware, but you never know!

This morning, Nilgiri Glendale OP in my cup.

Certainly, I want to try more teas and buy from new vendors, and maybe get some more teaware, and... It's all more a guarantee than a resolution, though. I would've done it anyway.

Chilling out with some roasty Anxi TGY at the moment.

Enjoying Matcha in my new Matcha bowl from my starter kit via O-Cha!
Next will definately be another Japanese green, but haven't decided yet which one, too many gifts to choose from 8)

Kudos and thanks to Space Samurai for my first avatar!!! Check out his site, wow! I love it and it works for Japanese greens doesn't it?

Another TeaChatter/Friend and I are working on an avatar of my kitten Sencha, ya know the one with green eyes..but I have been dragging my feet on getting her a picture. So this one is great and perfect for now! :D
Have a FAB TeaDay Everyone!

My one resolution is to create a small tea area in my office.

Sencha maki this morning. Got distracted and brewed the first steep too long (rats!). The second steep was much much better.

Not resolutions so much, but I definately have the intention to:
Practice gonfu with my gaiwan and new yixing pots until I am confident
contiunue to sample new teas and hone my steeping methods
try out new vendors
buy more tea and less tea ware
buy smaller quantities so I can try lots of diffferent kinds

I have no tea resolutions. I'll take things as they come and have fun. It worked just fine this year...

I think so.

Although I wouldn't necessarily call it a resolution, I certainly have a large list of tea I need to try throughout the coming year(s).

Basically it means "do your best!" or "don't give up!"

It's an encouraging noise :)
