Black tea, yesterday, Yorkshire Gold, I think.

Today I want to try another of my Adagio samples...but which one? I have too many!
Although my neighbors are all barbarians,
And you, you are a thousand miles away,
There are always two cups on my table.

First tea of the year was a third brew of an song zhong dancong from Jing.
After that it was a third brew of wei shan mao jian yellow from teaspring.
I mentioned both of these yesterday.

This morning's cup is a light-medium roast shui xian from Hou de.

Cheers.

I started 2009 with a cup of Adagio's Yunnan Noir, which I am also drinking this morning.

...technically, a little after midnight, I had mugi/genmai. But since I am mod, I am not counting that. My first TEA of the year was GREEN. Fukamushi Supreme from O-Cha. Significance, it was GREEN, and it was SENCHA, and it was GREAT. Should be a great TeaYear.

Started the day with, again, Fukamushi Supreme from O-Cha. Sweetie did not mind the repetition, and Pyrit smelled it. Wulong added warmth to a chillin' mornin' here.
blah blah blah SENCHA blah blah blah!!!

Should have asked me yesterday. I have both green and black teas yesterday but I don't remember which one was first.

My first was some Spiced Vanilla Chai that I received as a gift. So, atypically, the year began in the chamekke household with a black tea! (It was very good too.)

However, I drank Chinese greens for the rest of the day. And today will definitely feature some matcha :)

My first tea of the year was Sencha Kaboku. I am down to the last of the bag, and also finished up all of my Sencha Zuiko from Den's. Some guricha remains, but asamushi is near its end.

I need to get into some serious Japanese green drinking so I can finish my many open packets of gyokuro. Then, after a break, I can get into the generous gift of top notch gyokuro currently resting in the teafridge.

I'm on a mission to finish up some teas I've accumulated before the Spring harvests arrive... so my first tea was a finish-up of SpecialTeas Pouchong, and I successfully emptied the pack and reduced my pantry clutter a tad.

I had some Glendale Handmade too... and some Sweet Cranberry Black iced tea throughout the day.

First tea today is Black Dragon Pearls... not bad.

My first tea of 2009 was a Chinese green - Long Jing. :)

Today I've only had some chai thus far. I needed something nutritious this morning as I drove my son to the airport; leaving at 5:45 am. For any of you who were not up at that time I can assure you that you did not miss anything.

Wow sounds like I'm the only one who started the year off with something intentional. First cup of the year was some Ippodo wakamatsu no mukashi koicha for me. Oh was that delicious at 5am.
