I voted less than 90. My morning tea takes me about 1/2 hour, maybe a bit more. I don't typically have tea at work, but I'll have between two and six cups once I get home. Plus cleaning the teaware I use (up to three different pots a day) and then my nightly rinsing and setting up of the zojirushi.... But since none of those take more than ten minutes, I'm guessing that puts me around 90.

Thai tea blend this morning. So far the only good point of the day. One of my kitties is pooping blood so we had a vet trip this morning (kitty is at the vet to be looked at and I'll pick her up after work) plus I had a horrid migraine kick in last night about 9pm and I'm sort of hung over/dealing with the aftermath of that. On the plus side, no sore throat and I can breathe through my not-quite-as-stuffy nose. Oh yeah, and it is Friday. So that's good. Hopefully it will go fast.

Smari, good luck on the job front. It's not fun dealing with lay offs so hopefully you'll be safe. I had the kiss of death with companies for a while - three offices I worked for closed down. On the up side, all three times I got pretty sweet severance packages.

Does it include reading about tea? :D

Holiday season I am doing >180min. But I guess my year around average is just 60-90min. Excluding herbal tea (not that there is anything bad with it :P ) and tea reading time.

Currently working on some of TeaSpring's Cha Wang Tai Ping Hou Kui. It looks wonderful, but I don't seem to be getting the hang of it. Time to whip out the thermometer, I guess...

bcos wrote:Haven't really gotten into a pattern yet with my tea consumption since I haven't really had a set schedule while on winter break. Right now I probably have 2-3 tea sessions a day, so probably 90ish minutes a day. I'm interested to see how my tea schedule will change once college gets back into full swing. I'm thinking about making it into a morning routine so I can be sure I start my day out right, and then weaving more in throughout the day as my day allows.
It is pretty much the exact same situation for me - about 90 min. However, my classes don't start until after 1pm so I might be able to get some more QUALITY tea time in this semester compared to the other semesters.

I will be trying Adagio's Hojicha for the first time in a few. Good times.

Good luck Smari. I just heard that quite a few companies are going for layoffs today. I hope you're not one of them.

This morning: Ocha yame gyokuro, this is the last of it.

Ouch, Auggy. Hope you and the cat are okay! Good luck, Smari.

I voted for 180+ minutes, mostly because I drink slowly and lots.

Currently nursing an aching back and sore knee with a cup of Wuyi Amber, my go-to comfort tea.

I drink tea nearly every day at work - all day. So I put 60 minutes...I average about 6 cups a day at work so with getting water, steeping, etc. and then cleanup of the mug, infuser, and bowl it may come out to any hour.

Darjeeling again today.

I love this stuff. Just had some a couple days ago and enjoyed it a lot even though we are far from the spring harvest date at this point.

I brew it: 3.75 g 6 oz @ 160° F (or even a bit cooler): 1 m, 1 m, 2 m, 3 m, 5 m

(Excessively anal addendum: When I say 160° I mean the actual temperature in the mug as you plunge the leaves in ... not the water before being poured into a cold mug, which makes the temp drop a minimum of 10° and often as much as 20° depending on the room temp and cup material)

Running out the door one more time but at least I'll have some Hattialli Golden Lion's Paw Assam in the travel mug instead of coffee...

All day, drinking a vacuum packed individual serving of TGY given to me by my Chinese takee-outee lady from her personal stash. Good but nothing special.

Started the morning with some Nilgiri Neela.

Now I'm having some winter '08 AliShan from FLT.
Yum!

It reminds me that I have some left in my fridge. I don't think I will reorder some. It is indeed really not expensive for a gyokuro and its quality is good but I prefer drink better stuff, even if it means I have to drink gyokuro less often.
Lu an gua pian after dinner.

Started the day out with some Adagio Pouchong, moving on to some Wuyi Oolong gong fu a bit later.

I started today with a tribute grade TGY from Upton.

I'm about to enjoy a bag of Adagio's golden monkey.
