I remember, vaguely, that there was an Online tea shop with instructions on how to prepare the spent leaves as a salad, but I can't remember for the life of me who it was.

I'm guilty of this one too. Sometimes I even start snacking on genmai before I get around to brewing it. If it smells like food, it is food!brad4419 wrote:I like eating some sencha leaves but after so many they start to taste bad but I love eating my genmai cha tea. The rice makes it taste good. Im not sure how healthy this is but its good.

I like to eat fuka and gyo leaves with a little soy sauce10/6 wrote:After my shincha leaves begin to loose flavor I put them in a cup with a little tea and chug it down.
Could there be any negative effects?
Does anyone else do this?
