I voted for $300, and allow myself to go for $600 if there are really things that I don't want to miss. But also there is good chance that I can get below $200, if I am not tempted that much.

I am not that drawn to nice tea ware, especially when I don't have a large enough home to hold all these things :P For a long time, I used a vinegar dip saucer as teacup saucer, and a flat rice bowl as my tea boat. My bamboo tea tray started to leak a month ago. I just applied silicon glue on it and it's all set for another year.

I am shooting for less than $200. Though I am satisfied with my current collection, there is occasionally a piece that I find and fall in love with that I need to get. The only things that I am looking for are a 16oz English style teapot and maybe a few cheap yixing pots, but I am in no rush to get either until I find ones that I really like, especially since I can do 4 steeps of a tea in my 10oz kyusu to fill both my travel mug and thermos with a few swallows left over to wash down breakfast.

I am currently enjoying some later steeps of the YM that I started last night. After a rinse, the fourth and fifth steeps are good, but not as exciting as they would be if I didn't let the tea sit while I slept.

Less than $500, and that estimate could be twice what I spend. I just ordered a kyusu and four yunomi and I plan to buy a smaller gaiwan and a 16oz porcelain pot for everyday tea. I plan to use my budget for tea not teaware, but that may change next year.

Darjeeling Puttabong (Teavana) in my cup this morning. I've found that I really like the sweetness of good darjeeling but I don't like the high level of caffeine. Rou gui will be in my cup next.

I voted less than $200... because I really have everything I need, but I know I will want to acquire some new stuff, especially if I start in on the matcha thing. I am a bargain hunter, so I always hold out the hope that I'll find some jewels for low prices. This past year I found somayaki cups for 59 cents each, a very nice tokoname kyusu for 11 bucks, some nice glass and eggshell porcelain teacups for under a dollar each, and a very servicable white porcelain teapot for a buck. If you like to treasure-hunt, I highly recommend scouring the 2nd hand stores, thrift stores, and rummage sales for such prizes as these. It's one of my favorite hobbies.

In my cup this morning, Tung Ting Jade Oolong from SpecialTeas. Mmmm.

I need to start a TEAWARE budget as I see sooooo many beautiful items listed here and under 'Show off your pots...' It is true, this forum is easy on the eyes and hard on the wallet! :o I will say under $ 500 for now, but.....

It takes quite a while to get thru the 'Show Off' thread, but it is well worth it and lots of fun to see these extraordinary and beautiful items.

In my cup, current fave YM from O-Cha, so sweet and yummy.

It was rather cold outside today, so I made a toddy when I came indoors (assam and havana club).
Furthermore, some Gyokuro and TKY.

I suppose my ten teapots are enough, but I'm looking for some good oolong cups and maybe some canister. I guess less than $200.

Bai Hao means White Tip. There is an oolong called Bai Hao that has another name too: Dong Fai Meng Ren. Meaning Oriental Beauty :)

Less than 500$. At the moment the value of the US dollar relative to the Norwegian Kroner is way too high. At the moment I would have to pay a 50% higher price compared tot he average price last year.

Had some Single Bush Milan Dan Cong oolong earlier today. Think I'm gonna hit the Shui Xian soon.

Ahh, good to know, thanks Beidao. I guess I'll have to look up this Oriental Beauty... ;)

I'm still new to tea. So I see myself acquiring a few yixings.. maybe one more kyusu. And I definitely need one of those mugs w/ the infuser for my morning caffeine tea so I can retire my teavana perfect tea maker. I also need more proper tea cups. Ultimately I said under $500. I have a feeling I may go over that though.

Earl Grey Creme in my cup right now. Some Yutaka Midori later on.

I said under $100. There are a couple things that I wouldn't mind having, but they are neither essential nor expensive.

This morning I had a pot of Adawatte Estate Ceylon and have now moved on to some Adagio Sencha Overture.
