I always have breakfast at home on Sundays but it isn't a ``special'' breakfast, just healthy food. Every other Sunday I'm up at 5am in the winter and fall and at 3am in spring and summer to do bird surveys and generally help out at wildlife refuges in Rhode Island; typically I'll arrive home again between 6pm and 8:30pm. The other Sundays I just take it easy with my wife.

Very sweet and mellow.

Brunch is good!
I make a much better brunch that can be bought locally. Sunday marks the end of another week, so it's a pleasurable change from the daily routine.
Malty Assam Estate blend in my teapot this morning. Estate Ceylon (Kenilworth) with brunch and maybe Dragonwell later this afternoon.

I volunteer at our local zoo on Sunday mornings, so I'm always rushing out the door to get there by 8 am. If I'm lucky, I have time to grab a bottle/can of something in the fridge to drink on the way. My job is to make sure the penguins have breakfast on time. I don't have time to eat until later in the day, after noon.

Mmmm, smoked salmon! "Cold smoked (lox style)" or "hot smoked?" Cold smoked is my fave, here in the states there is a pretty good selection of cold smoked styles.olivierco wrote: " or smoked salmon
Sunday brunch, as you may know, I enjoy cooking, and Sunday I may cook up a nice brunch, today more so than others. Cinnamon french toast made with an oat nut bread, blueberry pancakes, and aggs. To drink, bold brewed Adagio Gyokuro/Overture which complimented the meal nicely.
However, I started the day with another session of Gyokuro that I received yesterday from Sal. Yesterday, I proclaimed this as THE sweetest gyokuro I had ever tried. As I though about making it today, I thought, that had to be a fluke, no gyokuro can be that sweet, I will never duplicate that experience. Well, it was sweeeeter still today, impossible! Thanks Sal for the generous sample. SweeTea was definitely in agreement on how sweet it was, and Wulong, Pyrit passed through rather disinterested. Lil' Bit was camped out in front of a radiant heater, I tend to forget he is there, but he is there every morning.

I was watching for a report. Glad everyone had a great time. This would be hard to reproduce on the east coast, no Hankook, etc. Missed seeing the TeaChatters yesterday, but there is something to be said for IRL experience!Victoria wrote:Hey Chip, did you guys miss us yesterday?

Now that you guys are back, be sure to check out the TC Gaiwan Contest by clicking here. I am sure someone got a gaiwan or two.

Are you telling what kind of hit your yearly(?) teaware budget took?

i put "other". If we get up in time, I will sometimes make a nice breakfast on saturday or sunday morning. Waffles, pancakes, eggs and fakon or french toast! It depends on what time we get up and what else we have to do that day. lately we are gong fu-ing tea every sat and sun. morning, whether I make a special breakfast or not, so that's nice.
Scott and I had a great time at the LA tea meetup yesterday! I wish we had been able to do the whole route with you guys. Lets definately plan another one soon!
