However, started the day with Fukamushi The Ultimate from Zencha, not bad, but is it the ultimate??? Pretty bold statement for a name. SweeTea enjoyed it, Pyrit, TEAh, Ceylon were casual observers only. Lil' Bit was planted by the heater as usual and could not be disturbed.

Chinese TeaPartay in 30 minutes ... or just all day! I will certainly enjoy a Chinese tea or two today! Although I drink mostly Japanese teas currently, my TeaRoots run deep, all the way to China.

Oh yeah! I will be celebrating Chinese New Year's with Chinese tea... you bet. In fact, someone at my workplace has anonymously donated some Mao Jian to the office kitchen, so I may start with that
Incidentally, not only did I also celebrate Japanese New Year (January 1) with matcha, I am even thinking of commemorating Tibetan New Year (February 25) with butter tea... maybe

Recipe right here. Warning: it's not for those on a diet. But it's tremendously warming and also quite filling.Shelob wrote:Ahhh, Chamekke, what is 'butter tea'? sounds utterly delishchamekke wrote:Incidentally, not only did I also celebrate Japanese New Year (January 1) with matcha, I am even thinking of commemorating Tibetan New Year (February 25) with butter tea... maybe![]()

(And you definitely don't need a butter churn to make it! A blender or even a hand-held whisk will do the job nicely.)

Thank you kindly Chamekke, I try to stick to a pseudo SouthBeach fare for food, however, because I am usually sooo good, I can splurge and I know I will with this. Also, I tip the scales at a bit over 105chamekke wrote:Recipe right here. Warning: it's not for those on a diet. So, for the New Year ParTay, I had Keemun Conterto from Adagio and checked out the Gaiwan contest. I seem to have a black tea buzzzz.

Wait a sec. Is that the same Keemun that costs 29 € ( =$38 ) for 100 grams? Is it really that good? Is there anything else from Le Palais des Thés that is a must have item?olivierco wrote: I still drank this evening some Keemun Mao Feng Imperial, real good stuff.
