Chinese TeaPartay in 30 minutes ... or just all day! I will certainly enjoy a Chinese tea or two today! Although I drink mostly Japanese teas currently, my TeaRoots run deep, all the way to China. :D

However, started the day with Fukamushi The Ultimate from Zencha, not bad, but is it the ultimate??? Pretty bold statement for a name. SweeTea enjoyed it, Pyrit, TEAh, Ceylon were casual observers only. Lil' Bit was planted by the heater as usual and could not be disturbed.:D

Not really celebrating it by changing my tea. If I happen to drink a Chinese tea, it will be by happenstance.

Now to go to bed!

Oh yeah! I will be celebrating Chinese New Year's with Chinese tea... you bet. In fact, someone at my workplace has anonymously donated some Mao Jian to the office kitchen, so I may start with that :)

Incidentally, not only did I also celebrate Japanese New Year (January 1) with matcha, I am even thinking of commemorating Tibetan New Year (February 25) with butter tea... maybe

Recipe right here. Warning: it's not for those on a diet. But it's tremendously warming and also quite filling.

(And you definitely don't need a butter churn to make it! A blender or even a hand-held whisk will do the job nicely.)

Thank you kindly Chamekke, I try to stick to a pseudo SouthBeach fare for food, however, because I am usually sooo good, I can splurge and I know I will with this. Also, I tip the scales at a bit over 105

Sal, love that cup :!:

I was thinking this would be made with yak butter? 8)

So, for the New Year ParTay, I had Keemun Conterto from Adagio and checked out the Gaiwan contest. I seem to have a black tea buzzzz.

My party teas were a Yin Zhen white from Upton, followed by a song zhong dancong from Jing.

That's a great idea, since I started my morning with Bai Mu Dan from Lupicia,
my next tea will be my new yellow tea from Hankook.

Have a nice day everyone!

I drink Chinese teas most days. And I did today! Specifically, White Symphony.

No celebration for me.

I still drank this evening some Keemun Mao Feng Imperial, real good stuff.

I was born the year of the ox :)

Black tea right now before I head off to work. Then I'm sure I'll have some chinese tea when I get home. Happy Chinese New Year!

I hadn't thought about it until now, but I happened to start with long jing this morning, so I guess I am. I'm currently sampling Adagio's emerald needle, although I think I'll switch back before long. Not sure the emerald needle is my thing.

Happy Chinese New Year!

Wait a sec. Is that the same Keemun that costs 29 € ( =$38 ) for 100 grams? Is it really that good? Is there anything else from Le Palais des Thés that is a must have item?
