I voted black as well!

Keemun Rhapsody in my cup this morning.

I voted for Chinese green, but it was a difficult deciding between it and everything else. I love tender leaves and fat buds and twisted old lightly roasted leaves...

Tie Luo Han early today and Darjeeling Puttabong in my cup right now.

Some great leaf in many categories - but for me it has to be the almost grotesque yet majestic gnarled and vari-coloured twisted leaf of a Big Leaved DanCong Oolong

I'd have to say tai ping hou kui for dry leaves. They are just plain cool. 8)

Drinking bi luo chun this morning. Those have nice leaves too, although I've never been able to see the snail resemblance.

I love the look of a first flush darjeeling.
Twisted leaves of multi colors...
I voted other.

“Take some more tea,” the March Hare said to Alice, very earnestly.
“I’ve had nothing yet,” Alice replied in an offended tone: “so I ca’n’t take more.”
“You mean you ca’n’t take less,” said the Hatter: “it’s very easy to take more than nothing.”

Love the multicolored pattern of many oolong teas. Reminds me of the sophisticated mathematical-inspired tile patterns of ancient Persia.

Lowly apple-cinnamon tea, just because.

Oooh, tough poll question today! Ultimately, I had to vote oolong just because of the variety and because I have a Himalayan oolong that has lovely colored curly leaves that I enjoy seeing in the canister.

Guan Yin Something or other this morning. Though I'm already wishing I brought something else to work for later. It is one of those days, even as early as it is. I'm going to need more tea to keep me happy. Oh, though I forgot to mention this when it happened, but the druggie thief is no longer working here. YAY! I'm keeping my pepper spray, though.

Hmm... it's a tough one. First one that come to mind is white teas. Then, I also say oolongs. Some greens are pretty, too. Ahh, can't make up my mind! hehe

This morning, enjoying a cup of mateVana on a snowy morning.

What brlarson said :)

Plus I really do have a thing for Long Jing leaves. They're very beautiful.

There's much to be said for the velvety beauty of matcha heaped in a natsume, admittedly... especially when it's well sifted and shaped. Rrrrowwllr.

Today I am drinking Seven Cups Li Li Xiang 2007

Image

from one of my 10 Wang Xiao Fei teapots made from yellow division clay

this one is called "Soft Breeze Under Moonlight" or that is what I am led to believe is the translation of the Calligraphy.
Image

But the bird on the front is very sweet.
Image

I am enjoying it but not sure I should have waited so long to open a lightly roasted 2007.
AND
Drinking it from a cup I bought for expresso - pair bought in TK MAX for £3
It has Chinese characters printed on the underside so I don't feel too perverse using it for tea!
Image

Anyway as per today's topic - the dry leaves

Yay!

I had to vote for oolongs, because Wuyi oolongs are all gnarly looking and cool.

Right now I'm drinking Ceylon Sonata over ice, having just returned home from a ride on my brand new bicycle. I got it this morning. I love it! I can't ride too far yet, as I'm ten years out of practice, but I hope to be going far very soon...
