Friday TeaDay 2/06/09 Last day without tea?

BYOT! Enter TeaChat here, you never know what you may find!

Today's TeaPoll and discussion topic. About a year ago, Olivierco asked, "when was the last time you did not have a tea for an entire day?" Seems like a good question to ask again.

In my cup this morning, Ali Shan from Adagio. This is a great tea to start off my day! It was lovingly given to me by a dear friend.

Not sure about the poll, will have to give that one more thought :!:

Fivebucks? More like ten bucks!
Don't remember but might be 6 mos. or so.
Once I had to use the coffeepot in a hotel to heat the water
for an infuser basket. If you do this run thru several batches of clear water first.
Ning Hong Jing Hao in the cup now....mmmmm :)
“Take some more tea,” the March Hare said to Alice, very earnestly.
“I’ve had nothing yet,” Alice replied in an offended tone: “so I ca’n’t take more.”
“You mean you ca’n’t take less,” said the Hatter: “it’s very easy to take more than nothing.”

About 6 weeks ago for me. I was so sick, I couldn't do anything but nap on the couch. I wanted tea but had no one to fix it for me. Must train DH.

Almond tea this morning. My throat is super-sore (thanks allergies!) so I'm wishing I had more tea to sip on.

I voted 'less than 2 years' although there may have been a tealess day or two in there somewhere.

This morning I have some Yunnan from BubbaTea, but I'm not sure what vendor it's from.

I don't know why I disliked the Adagio Yunnans so much, because I like this one! A bit spicier than I am used to but not disagreeable. My nine year-old took a sip and said it reminded her of pizza. :)

A day or two without tea was probably less than a month ago when I came back from a dental procedure. It was directed I consumed no hot liquids for the 24-48 hours time span. Those days sucked.

This morning, had Alishan and now making some masala chai.
Tea tea tea... I like tea...

Brandon, what is this lovely thing? It looks like an iron pot, but that doesn't compute.

Can't specifically remember the last time, but I know that there has to have been one in the past 6 months.

Today's cup: Uji Sencha 2008 - Lupicia

It's a nice asamushi. I think I preferred the Hosen though.

No tea over the holidays. Didn't bring anything loose and bought some bags at the grocery store only to find that my parents don't even own a kettle!

Valentine's to start the day off this morning, and Simple Leaf Shanti now. Had some extra time before work so I stopped into Argo Tea and got one of their Mate Lates - I used to love Argo before I started drinking loose, unflavored teas, and now their stuff is just too sweet and not tea-like enough for me.

It has been around 5 years for me when I had a stomach virus, bad. I have enough ways to make tea for whatever the circumstance. :D

Started the TeaDay with Shin Ryoku from Den's, really quite good. SweeTea certainly agreed. Koi was jumping between the teaware, not scoring any points with me. Next up, Adagio Sencha Premier, again really quite good.

 Chiran Supreme from O-Cha in a few minutes.
blah blah blah SENCHA blah blah blah!!!

Gee, I haven't had anything from Simple Leaf for over a year. I remember their Firefly with great affection, and I think I had some of their Honeybee. I am toying with the idea of placing another order to try out some more of their first flush blacks and oolongs again.

What else of theirs have you tried?

I'm having a lovely time brewing some Adagio White Symphony this afternoon.

This time I choose "less than 1 month".
In the past I would have at least 2-3 very busy days during the week and I didn't have any time for tea. It's time consuming and mind distracting to boil water and set up everything in office.
But recently I stepped out of my old frame and did cold brewing of oolong for several times, which enabled me to have tea every day in the past few weeks, at least cold brewed :D
By sitting in peace and doing nothing,
You make your one day worth two days.

I go a day or two without tea every year for various reasons, mostly travel. It's possible to survive it!

Right now, Uji Sencha Miyabi.
