I have between 3 and 4, usually ~16-20 oz per session.

I would drink more, but would get too dehydrated and never sleep :/

Since I'm new to loose tea and just got all my samples, I'll be trying quite a few! Gonna sample the Vanilla Oolong for sure today. It smells soooooo goooooood!! Who knows what else.

Here's another shot of Amanita Eater's Paulownia wood chataku,
along with the larger size Hankook travel modern gaiwan.
In my cup this morning - Feng Huang Song Zhong Dancong from Jing Tea Shop.

Trey Winston wrote:Usually one tea per day for me. I tend to brew in bulk, about one liter a pop. So in order to get the most out of the leaves, I feel I have to resteep a couple of times. That method doesn't leave a lot of room for variety on individual days.
I do the same thing but I use a smaller, 16 ounce pot. That way I can brew two or three pots in the morning and have different teas in the afternoon and evening. I've been having sencha in the late afternoon and something whimsical in the evening.
So, I usually have three teas in a day and sometimes four.

Adagio's Wuyi Ensemble this morning.

Just 2/day for me now. I actually had 4+/day last summer because I was enjoying the different types of teas out there that I've never tried.

This morning, I didn't brew anything up yet but plan on brewing genmaicha from Den's.

3 for me typically. Today will likely be more since I'm already on my second. On an atypical day I've been know to have well over 6.

three tea in a dee

by beedjay » Feb 10th, '09, 09:54

i start every day with my own blend of green teas with ginger. i drink about 3 cups of this then move on to coffee, one or two cups....does coffee count? prolly not..but i did have a suggestion once that should i make a coffee tea!

in the afternoon i like to drink nettle or mint and then in the evening after supper i have chamomile or oatstraw. sometimes i'm brewing both because i give chamomile to the kids every night before bed.

Typically 2 for me - black in the morning and then oolong or green at the end of the day. If I have something during the day or need more tea than what my evening leaves give me, I'll hit three.

Today is looking to be a three tea day. I had pineapple this morning and stuck some oolong (golden buddha? buddha hand? something) in my purse for work hours. No clue what I'll have tonight. Sencha? Mmm, sencha.

I think that 3 is pretty typical for me. I usually have between 1-2 teas while at work and 1-2 (usually 2) teas at home - depending on how busy I am.

Actually I've come to cherish my tea breaks at work. There's a lot of pressure these days, and the tea break ENSURES that I walk away from my desk, socialize a tad while fetching hot water from the kitchen, and lovingly prepare my gaiwan. So I have a welcome breather even before drinking my first sip. Thank goodness for Camellia sinensis.

Lately, I've been having at least two, sometimes three different teas a day. My current pattern is to have a rooibos in the morning, then maybe a black in the afternoon and a rooibos/white mix in the evenings.

I just finished a cup of rooibos with strawberry and marshmallows. I brought an Earl Grey variation to work for this afternoon's cup.

Auggy, where did you get your pineapple tea? It seems like it is always out of stock on Adagio's site. I have been looking for a pineapple tea for months.

Glad to see that you're making sure to take some tea to work :D

For me today: Uji Sencha 2008 from Lupicia. Good stuff, nothing mind blowing, but good.

I normally do about 3 on an average day. Sencha in the morning, possibly iced tea for lunch, possibly hoji in the afternoon, and maybe something different at night.
