Sal: I missed matcha? *sniff*
I voted for one, because I don't change cups often. Although I supposed I could have voted for two, because I use a glass for iced tea and a cup for hot.
I just brewed up my first batch of FLT baozhong. It's still to hot to drink, but the smell is wonderful.

I use my plain white mug exclusively at work. If I have tea at home I only use one cup/mug. Boring, I know!!
Lumbini Estate Pekoe in the mug today.

I voted 3 - I have two favorite cups that I alternate between at home and one at work.
Ceylon Sonata in my cup this morning.

I meant to vote 2 but chose 1 by accident. I use 2 of my double walled glasses a day - 1 at work & 1 at home. I remember when I used to carry just one glass around with me all day until I go home because I didn't have a place to store my cups at my old job. So back then, I used 1.
This morning, I didn't brew any tea yet, but had coffee instead. I couldn't fall asleep last night until 3-4am and had to wake up at 7am for work. I need to fit some tea in my schedule today, or I will be really cranky... Probably Alishan later.
Tea tea tea... I like tea...

I have a tumbler at work that I use all day, so that's 1. And I go through mugs like crazy at home - usually 1 in the morning before work, and 2 at night. So that's a total of 4 a day.
On my second cup of Mambo this morning. Nice to have something rich and heavy after my tummyache made me drink whites and tisanes all day yesterday.

The poll does say on average! But today I am pushing the average up.
So far I have used 10. And intend to try some thin porcelain later.
A piece of advice from Imen at TeaHabitat to get the most fragrance out of a DanCong - is to dispense with a rinse AND to dispense with a faircup/justicecup/pitcher - you have to get the hot brew in to a hot cup and then up to a mouth/nose as quickly as possible without any heat loss. The brew in the Gaiwan or Teapot has to be all poured out quickly to prevent it from continuing to steep the leaves. In Chao Zhou they may even leave spare cups unused, but I have been quickly drinking all that have been poured so my tea drinking average may well be going up today also!
So I have been playing with 3 new cups from YunnanColourful Leaf Shape, Flower Shape and Green Borneol
http://cgi.ebay.com/Zisha-ceramic-borne ... 634.c0.m14
I have 3 of each type - so the moment the steep time is up I quickly circle the pot over 3 cups filling them up with equalising strength of tea as I continue to circle.
Heavy on the cups, but they are delightful to hold and drink from.
The 3 footed leaf cups are easy enough to handle

But the flowers are not good if too full, for the serrated edges provide easy escape points for the tea if your hand is not too steady 'twixt table and mouth

I voted for one because I have one that I use at home all of the time. It used to be two, one for home and one for work, but the one at work just got broken.

So I am in the market for a new work mug. A nice sized mug, but not too big because my work breaks are short.

I like to have my big jack skelengton mug for my black tea and my more traditional Japanese cup for green teas.

2 for me - my morning tea is always in a travel mug. When I'm at home, though, I go for something smaller and usually stick with it through the night. Less to wash.
Rose marzipan tea for me this morning. I have no work to do. Like, at all.

Started the TeaDay with the newest member of the family, Chawan (Tea Bowl) "Aurora Blue HAGI WARE" by Yamane Seigan, arrived from Japan yesterday. I
love it. My first Hagi piece. It is so cosmic, celestial. I am flying through space every time I gaze into it ...
... and I see something new everytime I look at it, this came with a (purely accidental) "visitor" from afar if you look closely ... ? See it???
Just had to start the day with matcha!!! It looked quite stellar in the bowl. SweeTea enjoyed it while TEAh, Pyrit, and Wulong observed.

Had enough time for a bonus session of Sencha Premier as well. So, by 8 AM I was already using 2 cups.
