I picked other. As much as I love to get flowers and would love some new tea, I would love to be able to just spend some time with my fiance. Our schedules have been clashing lately with him working second shift so it would be nice just to have some time together. Our current plans today involve visiting a local winery and going out to dinner at the Texas Roadhouse. We've never been there, but my grandparents gave my parents a gift certificate to it and my parents didn't want it, so it is now ours.

Currently in my cup is Yutaka Midori, which came out exceptionally well today. I think I used a little less leaf than I have been using, but it some how resulted in a thicker, creamier tasting tea.

Hi Tea-Buds,

What a great topic. I am loving reading all the answers...I can see so much heart in all your answers (no Valentine's pun intended).

I picked tea, teaware...I already told my DH that the box of samples I got Wednesday (heavy on the blacks so he'd have something to try) was my gift to him and his gift to me! Also, I found out that there is a Chinese furniture and gift store in town. So while he's off at his martial arts class this morning, I'm plotting for lunch near there and a visit this afternoon...maybe I'll get a gaiwan for Valentine's Day.

In my cup this morning, Adagio Golden Monkey from my samples...not my fav so far...I can't find the flavor...tried milk and stevia, just stevia and plain. Gonna try a 2nd steep for longer and see if that helps. If it doesn't help, I'm just gonna have a tasty bowl of matcha...may have that later anyway!!!

Wishing you all much love on this day,
Dreamer

Well I already got chocolate. So I either would want to have more money kind of low at the moment. Or to eat out at olive garden. I have not had any tea yet.
My name i's ashley I am a female and 21 years old.

My DH is letting me pick out a lens for my camera, kind of a birthday and valentines gift. I picked other for both the lens and just wanting to spend quality time with him.
I'm thinking a nice walk with our DDR (Dear Dog Risa). This comes along few and far between. She has a bad leg so we can't really take her for walks often.
Hope everyone is having a wonderful day/weekend and knows they are all loved!

Ooopps! I forgot to add I'm having a cup of Topical White from Adagio. So far so good. I got some tea for myself and my brother also got some for my birthday. It's going to be a lovely tea tasting weekend. Over 22 different types of tea and the ingenuiTea. I think I've past the point of sanity.

It's been a few years we've been talking about getting another one. So it's been a long wait. I'm excited! I hope it doesn't snow too much before I get it. I've really been wanting to take some shots when the snow was been untouched for the first few hours of the snowfalls.

Sorry to hear about Risa's bad leg- what kind of dog is she? I have a greyhound- he just turned 12 last Thursday and has really bad arthritis in his hips so his walks are shorter than they used to be and he's still doing ok.

Actually there's two:
  • 1) Presidents Day
    2) Omegapd's well-earned vacation!

geekgirl- loved the tea heart!!
How can you wait? Brew NOW ... just leave a little for when your scale arrives. Who knows, you may master the scaleless brewing style of a real tea master.

As for Geekgirl's photo: cuteness personified. Even a curmudgeon like me can go for a Valentine's heart when it's made out of sencha.

I think this year I would choose tea related, especially since I have seen a lot of really nice teaware. Dark chocolate is always nice. 8)

Started the TeaDay off right with Yutaka Midori, like Cinnamon Kitty, I cut back on the leaf a bit and am enjoying my fave even more. SweeTea enjoyed it as well.

In need of tea ...
blah blah blah SENCHA blah blah blah!!!

ok ok I took a breath and brewed a pot of sencha from teaism in my new pot and I'm enjoying it out of my new mug. I like it of course but think I would like it stronger. I used 160F water, 8oz water (Volvic) and 1 tsp leaf for 90 sec (preheated pot and mug). Next time maybe closer to 170F and a bit more leaf. My new mug is below- DH keeps coming over and asking- is it leaking yet??? can I see it ooze? crack me up. Plus I think he likes my name for it- melting cinnamon roll icing mug ;)

My mug looks like this- http://www.artisticnippon.com/product/h ... gicup.html
