I just got the 2oz gaiwan you mention myself, and second the idea.

I was getting very annoyed that Lin's own storefront came up after lots of ebay-ish sites in a google search - I figured out I was able to move the real Lin's to the top by a new feature of Google. Hopefully it shows up first in your search for "lin's ceramic studio" now also.

This is very nice! Do they have internet selling? Is ordering through email?

Local shop called Serenity Art. That gaiwan has gotten a lot of play around here, heh.

I normally wouldn't be one to "copy" somebody, but if they had an online store I'd be all over it. 8)

Just wanted to give an update:

I am now the proud owner of my first Gaiwan! I was able to get the exact same dragon design that I found on enjoyingtea.com, but with the correct size (4 oz.). :D

Thanks Herb Master. :D

I'll be off to my local tea shop on Wednesday for tasting cups, aroma cups, faircup, etc.

They've got an unbelievable selection of practically everything, minus the gaiwan. I've purchased a high mountain green that I'm jonesing to try! :D

I live in Costa Mesa, which is roughly 40 miles south of downtown L.A. The tea shop itself is in Fountain Valley (about 10 minutes from my apartment)

This place really is a gem. The owner sits you down practically every time you visit the shop and brews you tea gong fu style, doing her best to give you something you haven't tasted before.

For me, this is a huge deal, because I'm new to premium teas and don't yet have the nose to decipher between those I'll like and those I won't.

In addition, her tea selection is pretty awesome, and she has a massive selection of clay pots sized for gong fu. No 40 oz. pots in this place!

Well I am not local, but I had to have a look.
Some pleasing reviews but no photos perhaps you can take some on your next visit! :roll:

Boba tea is a tea with little tapioca balls. Bubble tea is another name for it. It's good but... different. Not too tea like. But yummy. And the big straws are fun. :D
