Great Pic Brandon! Reminds me of a Doolittle painting.

I voted less than 3years, but there may be older stuff I really need to
throw out. Believe it or not, some of it is sentimental - stuff from
Germany a friend sent.

In my cup this morning the last of my ToT Neela. I have soooo much
tea, but still I do need to replace this one.

Have a nice day everyone!

Brandon, that is a wonderful photo!

I have some teabags up in the cupboard that are probably way over 5 years old. I'm not really sure why I don't throw them away! But they came in handy at Christmas when my mother-in-law made a face when I offered her some freshly-made loose leaf tea and chose some stale old Celestial Seasonings "tea" instead!

As far as loose-leaf goes, none of mine is over 2 years old, since I just got started about this time last year.

No tea yet, but I'm going to have some Three Brothers (Keemun, peppermint and rosehips) when the water boils. I'm not a big fan of flavored teas but I really like this one.

The oldest tea in my house is probably the 1990 brick that Brandon and I split this week.

In my cup this morning: 2 cups of Yame matcha and the cup I just drained of Yuuki Konjo. (Why we don't have a gamma ray smiley face emoticon is beyond me!)

Brandon, what a lovely image!
Voted less than one year. My tea machine is on all the time and everybody in my family loves tea so we consume quite a bit of tea!
Earl Grey in my cup now.

Well, most pu drinkers are likely to have at least one or two samples sitting around that are over ten years old. My photo for today, however, is of a roasty Nantou oolong from just last year.

Sal, even though I now have those crane cups, my brain still does a little "Yay!" when your daily photo includes them. Heh. Also love that pot with its 3 little feet. I have enough yixing and am strangely unmotivated to buy more right now, but I would be tempted by one of those at the right price. lol.

hmmm... my oldest unintentionally aged tea... well last January I did a major de-junking, which included discarding a small cupboard full of OLD tea. Mostly teabags. Mostly celestial seasonings. One box was given to me when I moved out from my parents home - about 18 years ago! But, I'm proud to say that the tea that has been hanging around here longest is a box of Tazo Passion tea that I used to make iced tea in the summer. It's about 2-1/2 years old. I overstocked a couple of years ago at a sale, and last summer mainly made jasmine, black tea or mango. So I still have a box left.

Beyond that, most of my tea has been here less than 18months for a few and less than a year for most.

Pu drinkers must have pu on their brains with this question. The question reads "purposely aged tea not included."

I bought some real crappy teas when I first started drinking tea in 1999. Some in Asian tins. I could not bear to unload such crap on others, yet could not bear to toss it in the trash, thus the "TeaBath" reserve came into being. I think I have a lifetime supply as old tea or tea I decided I will never drink is constantly added to the reserve. I guess it is time to start taking more TeaBaths.

10ish years since I got it, add some time to that since I am certain it was not fresh when I got it, so "more than 10 years." Regardless I reallllly need to clean out.

Started the TeaDay with Gyokuro Yame from Zencha, I had this before and was blown away by how good it was, that was 2006 or 2007 harvest. This session is simply not blowing me away. The aftertaste is hard to be enamored with. SweeTea agreed while Wulong was shoulder top which felt nice and warm on a cold March 1st.

Pu drinkers merely recognize when someone asks the wrong question.

Everything I have is under two years old. I suspect I will do a purge with the new season.

Nursing a rare hangover with sencha Tenho this morning. I knew I was in trouble when I got home and checked my e-mail and saw two screens in front of me. Ah well.......

I suspect that the intent of the question is, "Do you have stale tea in the house? If so, how stale is it?" :P

In which case
Can we expect tomorrow's question to be about
Tea Refreshing
Tea Refreshening
Re-Roasting

I keep looking at Roasters and Refresheners and wondering which one to buy :(

All my teas are pretty relatively new considering I just started drinking tea about 6-7 months ago! I do have some stale kukicha I've been pan firing to make a nice houji-kukicha! Today I'm going to experiment making my own personal genmai out of it!

All my loose leafs are under a year.
It's just time to let go of the rest.

Off to a Taiwanese tea tasting this afternoon here locally
in Orange County. Should be interesting!

My oldest non-aged tea is under a year old, because I send the old krap to Adam.
