So I will have a full day for lazy style tea brewing. It's a snow day here, so I would definitely go for something dark and warm. Heating up water now and planning to have some dark roast ba xian dan cong

By sitting in peace and doing nothing,
You make your one day worth two days.

My goto tea pot is a 2-cup Chatsford porcelain pot for morning, everyday tea. I also use a kyusu for all Japanese green and a porcelain gaiwian for my best quality oolong and pu-erh. The Chatsford is small enough so I can completely infuse my daily tea and then empty and clean the pot at night -- which means fresh leaf every morning. I'm looking for a new pot for gyokuro. I'm not is a hurry so it probably will take a while.
Adago's Ali Shan in my cup this morning.

I put "no, I dont think so." Basically, my teaware collection is nothing to write home about yet. I have the ingenuiTEA that I used to use for the majority of my teas, but I also have a 24 oz clear glass teapot that I really like using for that extra cup if I'm in the mood for it! I found a tasting set similar to Adagio's that I've sort of been using to do sort of a gong fu style brewing for my white teas. And finally I have a glazed porcelain tea set that I'll use to brew just about anything in when I have company over! That or the clear one so they can see the tea infusing! That's it for my wares for now. Though I do have a kyusu and a gaiwan coming this week that I VERY much look forward to using!
This is going to be a big green/pu year for me! Have a great day everyone!

Started the TeaDay with Fukamushi organic from Yuuki-Cha. Using a pretty hefty amount of leaf ... it is pretty tasty. Hard to believe it is organic. SweeTea enjoyed the tea, Pyrit simply observed.
Next up was Adagio Keemun Rhapsody. Good Mao Feng Keemun!
This kyusu is a newbie albeit, but it instantly became my go to pot because it is a great kyusu. I have a few other favorites, but am reaching for this one the most. Had I asked, which is your favorite pot currently, I would have struggled much more to answer.

For convenience on workday mornings, it's my IngenuiTea. On more leisurely weekends and evenings I use my Brown Betty pot. I don't have any Yixing pots or Kyusus, but they are on my mental "to buy" list.
Having some Nilgiri Iyerpadi OP today at work after having Nilgiri Glendale OP at home this morning.

I agree, I don't have enough pots to have a favorite yet. But my go-to pot for greens is my only kyusu that cherylopal posted. It's a fine little pot but I'm looking for a new one thats a bit smaller.cherylopal wrote:I voted other- my thinking was "not yet"!
My go-to pot/vessel for blacks is an infuser mug I bought from Rishi. For my quick and/or casual brewing I grab that.
Drinking Earl Grey out of that mug right now. I'm off from work for the day due to the 8 inches of snow on the ground.
I will compliment you on your good taste!danibob wrote:I agree, I don't have enough pots to have a favorite yet. But my go-to pot for greens is my only kyusu that cherylopal posted. I'm off today too- about 5" here and the plows came through just after noon. DH just came back said the main roads are plowed and treated and passable. I really haven't accomplished a whole lot but then that's the beauty of snow days

I can see why I'm not getting so much done today!
My order from Den's came about an hour ago
and I got the starter set which now means I have two kyusus which then means I do have a go-to pot- the black one in the previous pix. I think I'll try the extra green sencha although the cherry was looking good- decided to save that for tomorrow am with the anticpated delay- (hopefully I haven't just jinxed myself)
Hey- I never heard of wearing pj's backwards til I moved here- any other suggestions that might turn tomorrow's delay into another snow day???
